"yesterday at 14:37 first a smaller flock, and at 14:46 another much larger flock. They flew from west (SW) to east (NE) over Ljubljana Marshes (Vnanje Gorice).

Too bad you didn't record their loud "chatting" among themselves.
It was really nice. Here flyovers of larger and smaller flocks lasted over an hour.

At my place they were surely cranes, I distinguish them from geese (by call, appearance and size) and several people told me they saw them yesterday over Škofja Loka.

I see geese daily as they've been resident here for a couple years. They fly lower and their loud chatter in flight leaves no doubt . Cranes fly usually in large flocks at higher altitudes and their buzzing-like call I like a lot. Years ago ornithologist here added link with calls of both bird species. Based on flock shape on 1st and 4th pic I'd give Georgia right.

Also today 2.3.2021 at 13.10 over Podutik area towards Toško čelo large crane flock using thermals circling up then flew towards Medvode.

@julius, those aren't geese. Geese don't fly with extended legs. Those are cranes. They overflew Dolenjska too...

Today at 16.45 two crane flocks about 200 birds flew over Dobrovo (near Lj.) from southwest to northeast.

A large flock of cranes was flying at 16.40h over the SE edge of Komenski Kras-direction NE. Their calling and flight formation left no doubt which birds they were.

of course it's chubby, darinka, because it's not blue tit, but great tit. (in pictures 3 and 4)- it has black collar, black line on belly and black head, different from blue tit.. They are really close "relatives" and can be easily confused.

Today at 12.55 observed a flock of about 100 cranes flying in NE direction along SE edge of Komenski Kras.

And yesterday there was a smaller flock (cca 60) somehow at 17.25 they circled for a while in place (don't know if they had conclave) then flew off in NE direction. Probably the return of these migrants is at the end.
