pikica1, where did you see it? Sometimes it can be determined by the observation area.

In the Karawanks we have the Golden Eagle nasmeh

I know the pictures aren't too high quality and that's why it's hard to identify it.
I've seen it before in the Karawanks area too, but too far for taking pictures.

Last year around this time, I took these two pictures1

Sometimes you need a bit of luck to spot them mežikanje The Saturday little beauties showed themselves to me only for a short time. Enough to cheer me up nasmeh

In the climbing plant in front of the entrance door two years ago the little birds made a nest. Because the honeysuckle quickly grew long thorny branches, the small birds couldn't find their way out when taking off. Later when trimming the honeysuckle I found the small nest and dead little birds on the branches mrk pogled
This year it went better for us. The little birds wove a nest again in the honeysuckle, did all that was their duty mežikanje. I also got a bit involved. I trimmed the thick branches so the nest was easier to access at least from one side. All flew away safely last week nasmeh

They went to sleep early. The next day they had their first flight11

Nice deed, pikica, that you helped the little birds fly out of the nest. Now they will return for a long time and sing around your windows, in winter they will come to eat in the birdhouse that you surely have. velik nasmeh

Every life that is saved makes you happy. Yesterday on the way to work a squirrel jumped onto the road, but then jumped back and saved its life. I was grateful to it for acting that way, because if I had run it over, it would have saddened me.

Thanks everyone mežikanje This year I've noticed that lots of wrens and blackbirds have nested in our garden. It's quite lively. In winter it will be too, as always nasmeh
My old dad told me that if you save some little animal from certain death, it will accompany you on your last journey so you're not alone. He knew how to tease me, the animal lover velik nasmeh

O, super adventures and photos.
Ločanka, on your photographs (posted 30.5.2017) the chiffchaff sits on top of the spruce. It doesn't happen often that it shows off so nicely. It was probably singing its characteristic song, which sounds like this: http://www.xeno-canto.org/373205

And also 1 photo from this year from a colleague, with whom we observed this male three-toed woodpecker together. It's rare and protected, found in old mountain coniferous (rarely mixed) forests. It's a real forest "ghost", differs from other woodpeckers by males having a yellow patch on the head, not red. Other woodpeckers have 4 toes nasmeh This species is an ice age relic...

On Friday on Strmi peči I think I saw an alpine swift for the first time in my life. The sickle-winged bird is so fast I couldn't photograph it.mrk pogled But you can literally hear it whipping — like it sings whip.

Ring ouzel, some call it mountain thrush (scientific name Turdus torquatus) is a songbird from the thrush family living in forests of higher altitudes in Central and Northern Europe. Ring ouzel looks like a thrush and is 23-27 cm in size. In body build similar to blackbird. Males are overall dark brown, except for a white crescent-shaped patch on the breast and yellowish bill. Wing tips silvery due to fewer white feathers. Females simpler colored. (source: Wikipedia) Photographed on Planina Seče in Karavanke
