"Dense fog persisted stubbornly. I was already afraid that today's sunrise would have to be watched with the heart and remain invisible to the eyes. But less than 100m below the bivouac the sky started opening, and at the top a wonderful reward."
On Thursday, the last pre-shift of this year. Conditions super, first snow patches start above the forest, more serious snow above the jump. Maybe something changed yesterday...
For the return I also took a bag of trash from the bivouac down to the valley. One of the New Year's wishes is that trash wouldn't even remain there anymore...

The view and the mountain refuge are beautiful. HOWEVER it’s not hiking accessible to all. We are 4 people and we did it in April 2023. The ascent was still difficult but rescue said that the descent was too dangerous. They decided to send us a helicopter. There are high risks of slips and sometimes avalanches. Snow is present until June so think before going and take equipment (crampons, ice axe, walking stick...)
About the mountain refuge: it’s a very pleasant place with a beautiful view. There are only 2 blankets so take your sleeping bag.

Accidents in the mountains

At 15.22 the on-duty GRS Brnik team with SV helicopter tried to reach hikers in bivouac below Skuta, but due to adverse weather conditions they failed. Helicopter returned to valley and will continue rescue operation on Monday morning.

Is this some kind of joke, or are you serious? Because it reads like "hi there, I'm stupid".
Sorry for being rude, but most people here know damn well how the path looks, what equipment they need, when to go... while you seem to have no experience, no equipment and no idea where you were going. The last thing I would expect from someone who did such stupidity would be giving advice to other people.
Instead you could just write "thank you rescue team for saving our asses" and "such luck that this happened in Slovenia, because in many other countries this would cost us 10,000€".
I hope you at least bought beer and dinner for the rescue team... you know, they are volunteers, they are not paid for rescuing people.

I'm just surprised that this hasn't happened before. Such an attractive bivouac, very close to the valley, always open, with a nice view, attracts everyone who needs everything else, but not shelter.
