Yesterday the Škofja Loka retirees -Četrkovci- were in action. Every four years one of the four main peaks is next. This time it was Blegoš. The bus dropped us off at Martinj vrh by the primary school. Then along the steep path towards Blegoš. This path is quite exposed, locally steep and even secured with cables. It is not suitable for everyone. Then along the steep rocky ridge to the top of Blegoš. At the top of Blegoš, rhellikanijevih murk (black) murk are currently blooming in full. Then a short descent to the hut at telečji ajmoht and to the huge flancat. The hut had a huge number of visitors. We went down by another path to Laze. There at the bus stop the bus was waiting for us. For the path up and down with stops we used about five hours.

First, of course, to the starting point on asphalt.

That steep precipitous path runs through the forest all the way.

Near the top of Blegoš we encounter a herd of cattle.

The guides choose the most suitable descent.

Saturday tour of three wanderers to Blegoš, sadly one missing... Path from Poljane past Volč and Andrejon ok, last part to Črni kal snowed, caution needed. Parking fully iced. We put on crampons, path pleasant, snow dry, nothing frozen, no sinking, others had trodden it well. Top windy but views all around.... some pics and to hut. Already at top met two friendly youths, chat in hut, friendly greeting and each their own way. Did circular tour, quite some visitors, all enjoyed beautiful nature. At possible issues on icy parking our two hikers proved themselves, and friendly mountaineers were ready to help right away.... guys thanks.

Back on Blegoš, this time five of us, to Hotavelj and then steeply up to village Čabrače. First time for me from this start, a bit over 800m gain, path quite steep, at least for some, not for others. Today extremely windy at start, interesting, then wind fully calmed. Path partly snowy, partly frozen, traps under leaves too. Part of path with small crampons, handy especially descent to hut. Views on path and summit top-notch. Break, tea and snack at hut, most hikers enjoyed outside hut. Nice active weekend in nice weather and good company behind us...

Whoever was deterred from ascent by fog in valley today can really regret it. Gorgeous winter idyll in warm spring sun. Without crampons doable, but easier with them.

Yesterday we went to Blegoš via path from Črni Kal to Prva Ravan. A bit higher at fork we chose left variant towards hut, which I hadn't walked for some time. We wondered about all the logging left along path and thought if hill really needed to be shaved so bare, or just profit desire. From top we descended a bit on ascent path, then turned right past really old trees and snags back to path to hut. From there back on snowy road to Črni Kal, thus circular tour.

Beautiful winter day yesterday, definitely with spring scent. At top complete calm, so we could have lunch right there admiring snow-covered peaks, as views reached to Italy, not only Western Julians but also Carnics and Dolomites. Peace and quiet almost whole way, on ascent met no one, at top and hut just few individuals. As befits a mountain peak nasmeh

Sunday afternoon trip to Blegoš from village Čebrače. First time on this path to top. Start steep, middle path eases a bit, then nicely graded to summit. Wind occasionally strong, summit cold and a bit windy. Not many visitors. Views nice, somewhat hazy. Express descent from top to hut, where we had snack. They have excellent pork scratchings. nasmeh

Return towards Prva Ravan, where we looped, then on known path to start. Snow melting and little of it. For descent to hut still put on chains. nasmeh

Towards Storžič, Bašeljski vrh, Mali Grintovec and Cjanovci, Hudičev boršt is also visible

Today at the summit. Leskovic route.
Trail completely dry. Almost no wind; strongest at the hut and ridge to the last pine below the summit. At the top, calm and real Martinmas enjoyment with views.

Praise to the hut keepers! Varied selection of dishes at reasonable prices. Tasty and large portions. The host has a sweet surprise for every child velik nasmeh

On Wednesday to Blegoš with a friend from Cerkno, that was a new starting point for me. We drove quite high, the path is easy, mostly shady, so suitable also for hot summer days. Signs at the parking lot, soon also sign for Slugova dolina. Marked 1.5 hours to the summit. On the path marked 3 hours to Ratitovec and 3 hours to Porezen, but I haven't walked from here yet, so can't confirm the times. But idea to connect Blegoš and Porezen and descend to Zakojca... maybe next time. Good company in Cerkljansko and nice day...

Beautiful autumn days invite to nature and Blegoš. The ridge path is nicely trodden. Views from the top still wonderful. Just as good service in the hut.
But the access road to Črni Kal is beyond criticism. To the village Gorenja Žetina it's nice (recently renovated). But the last few hundred meters are no pride for the Mountaineering Association, nor the Local Community or municipality Gorenja vas-Poljane.
Poor macadam adorned with pothole after pothole, some quite deep. They spoil the good impression of visiting Blegoš!

Drove a bit above Leskovca and to Blegoš past the hut. 20 cm snow in drifts much more, without gaiters everything would be wet. Met a local at the top and we chatted a bit. Returned the same way.
