@Daaam, I was thinking that would be the next step. But I doubt you'll be able to drive further.  The upper parking is also being arranged, at least it looks like or they're fixing the road there at the starting point.
Anyway, no machine yet, and the parking in front of the Dom is in sad condition.
Wait and we'll see everything. I hope it won't be this season yet. But interesting that they put up the sign first.

Now parking fees also in KB, only with Easy park app, 3€ 2h, 10€ 24h and 25€ campervan. No way out...

Didn't they recently write in the Slovenian constitution that people have the option to pay with cash? Meaning all these parking meters where payment is only with stupid apps are unconstitutional.

Usually they offer cash purchase at an unreasonable place somewhere far away. Here I think it's TIC Kamnik, for Prtovč (Ratitovec) for example you can buy ticket with cash at gas station in Železniki. Just enough to "cover" cash payment. It's true you have to watch if sales point is open or not... if that's unconstitutional I don't know if you want ticket at 5am when all closed

Hm... is this about cash actually already entered in the constitution? Because I think procedures are still ongoing. Currently there are vacations for all state organs anyway and the thing can drag on more.

But this raises another question for me... what happens if you don't pay?
If you don't pay on public land, inspector gives fine.
Cop gives fine only if you violate traffic rules. If you park on Jermanci behind sign e.g., forestry inspector is in charge.
What about when someone sets some fee on private land? In Lj there are such parking lots with ramps to ensure payment. Do they by chance have some deal with inspectors?
P.s. and I think I've never parked on that parking lot in my life... well, except sometimes for 10min when we went to soak feet in stream after tour

There won't be fewer foreign tourists because of this - but those who hike these hills multiple times a month will find alternatives.

@Trobec exactly that I wondered at Vršič near Erjavčeva hut, where there's private parking from Erjavčeva hut. No ramp, no one physically collects fee, parking managed by Janez d.o.o., you pay at machine. On Erjavčeva hut website it says Janez doo fines parking violation with 36 eur. If true, probably illegal, private company can't issue fines that's police/inspector job. Probably intimidation. Most pay at machine for peace, I did too. Lawyer buddy says they can't fine but can sue civilly for unauthorized parking on private property. At Vršič it's temporary till barrier in valley starts, still relevant question. Anyway at Vršič still parking everywhere, no inspectors, wonder how it'll be after new barrier regime when transit barrier goers still park as now...

It won't work, there will be stakes, fences, barriers everywhere along the road, so it will really only be possible to park on those 90 plus planned parking spots. At least that's supposed to be the case, according to the press and websites.

Today I was in Kamniška Bistrica. People, especially foreigners arriving by car, didn't know how to pay for parking or had no phone signal. Many parked their cars along the road. I too, after easypark sent bizarre amounts (8.20€ to 11.60€) after several SMS tries, drove to free parking under the gondola and went to Velika planina instead of Kamniško sedlo as the original plan. I think Pri Jurju will have more customers coming for start coffee or end beer in exchange for parking. Congrats to paid parking schemers for constructive approach to preserving and promoting Slovenian hiking culture, I admire their ingenuity and thank them for immense effort.
