Thanks. That was also the purpose of the post, to warn you also about less obvious disease symptoms that are easily overlooked or ignored. It's important to be attentive and act in time and not spread the virus unnecessarily! As we see, the disease can have different courses and complications, they say it's unpredictable. Luckily it's still mild for us, but still annoying, because you don't recover overnight, just like that ... How this will affect our fitness is still a question.

Today is my 9th day since the cough started. Wife's 12th day. This week is marked by fever - up to 38C and all-day headaches. I usually get fever already in the morning. Usually I wake up in the morning completely exhausted and listless. I have smell and taste, wife doesn't. Today she's been vomiting all day and severe headache torments her. Also completely without energy. She coughs but less than at the beginning, I without cough. It's getting quite tiring already and the sick days are already showing on both of us. lp

@geppo - only positive (thoughts) ahead! Primož: of course, the body (skin) generates it itself under the influence of the sun (sunbathing). Be in the sun as much as possible, for now it's not too strong anyway, so no fear of excessive UV radiation, otherwise moderate. And be in the fresh air - ventilating the lungs. But you're doing that intensively anyway; keep it up. Well, good that "ours" gave recommendations, if I had written this to you a day earlier, you wouldn't have believed me anyway, just like with nicotine and eucalyptus, right? (S)tay healthy!

Vitamin D is produced sufficiently by sunbathing only in summer. In the other 3 seasons, no, because the sun shines at a different angle.

@karibu, in our latitudes roughly from March to September. A bit also depending on skin color, and of course on the weather. Lj with frequent fog is quite unfavorable. Or narrow valleys (e.g. Zasavje). And yes, currently sunbathing doesn't help at all or very very little (maybe some albino would get something). But on one hand it's "good" that corona came. Finally started talking a bit wider about vitamin D. Studies have been reporting a pandemic of vitamin D deficiency for a decade or more.

I guess only 2% of all Slovenes have sufficient vitamin D in their body. And not in winter

I take this vitamin D and a whole bunch of other vitamins (A, C, B6, B12,...) for more than 5 years, plus Magnesium, Zinc, and I don't know if I'm any healthier than before when I didn't take any of this. Plus, there is plenty of all these vitamins also in all the other sports supplements I take. I think for boosting immunity, medicinal mushrooms like Mikomed and similar help the most, but even that's a lottery because you have to hit the timing right with a sufficient dose. Sometimes even that doesn't help. Well this year I'm really the healthiest because I work from home and don't get infected by irresponsible colleagues who get drunk at home in the evening outside in the cold with some "beer", then come to work all with colds and sick.

@karibu depends on what we define as ideal value According to our currently still valid guidelines, the limit is 50 nmol/l (nanomoles per liter of blood). Here, according to the Slovenian study https://www.prehrana.si/novica/414-preskrbljenosti-odraslih-prebivalcev-slovenije-z-vitaminom-d in summer about 60-80% of the population has enough vitamin D, in winter only 10%. But most endocrinologists think we should aim for 75 nmol/l. Here the % drops drastically, winter 5% and summer 25%. Some researchers even recommend 100 nmol/l, here we're probably really talking about 2% or less Oh, some labs give value in ng/ml. That value is 2.5x lower (20 ng/ml = 50 nmol/l) @iUnknown, most vitamins are sufficient in a healthy diet. So as much fruit and vegetables as possible and as little processed food. In today's times easier said than done. But in Slovenia it's still possible with minimal effort Actually problematic are only vitamin D (unless you eat fish every day in winter - but not canned tuna), B12 in vegans and folic acid in pregnant women and women planning to conceive. Maybe worth mentioning the "unphysiological" ratio between omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids. Healthy ratio is around 1:3-4, in "western" diet it's more like 1:10. Ratio improved again by fish and also olive oil. Ratio is important because omega 3 acts ANTI-inflammatory, omega 6 PRO-inflammatory - roughly layman's explanation

Yes Grega, it's true But it's not true... I recommend to some "google-doctors" to watch out not to get sick due to a printing error or software error.

Yes, I wrote "some" not all; namely it shows exactly by writing who is who. Just one more, then I'll go into quarantine: regarding vitamin D; pity that covid is only an autumn-winter disease Primož, leave nicotine and eucalyptus alone and also Fisherman's Friend, who made candies from eucalyptus oil for sailors to ease breathing problems. And leave nicotine alone too, because I don't have the will or strength to explain. Honestly I admit I'm a bigger idiot than you - because I even engaged with you

My girlfriend and I were already thinking about a hike last weekend. Tomorrow is probably our last nice free weekend this year. And we'd go to Stol or somewhere else in Karavanke, we also thought about Raduha. Well, the goal doesn't matter. I'm interested in how you deal with the municipal border measures? What to do? On one hand, the weather and desire pull us a lot, on the other hand, 800e for both is not a little.

It's not rocket science. Either you write a statement based on one of those exceptions or you avoid main roads and risk it. Nothing else remains.
