Every day in contact with sick people. Open dozens of doors, turn on dozens of lights... Deliver letters to people in quarantine, they sign on my phone, return envelope, copy data from their IDs, take cash for packages etc. etc. Most come out without mask. Don't know if I already had this corona and didn't know, or it's not so contagious as said or just lucky. Same for other 20 postman colleagues at this post. Possible also that I can't get infected in this job, don't go to mountains because there are none in my municipality.

Sorok, my wife, a passionate smoker, got it anyway. Same with door handles etc like michael66. I also heard a while ago that smokers are better off. Weird why, nothing to add.

Yes, nicotine supposedly has a positive effect, virus binds less easily. On the other hand smokers already have damaged epithelial cells from all chemicals and radicals in cigarette smoke, so generally more susceptible to respiratory infections. If the disease turns severe (pneumonia) smokers are much worse off, as lungs already damaged beforehand - more fibrous tissue, making lungs less elastic. Tar that accumulates there hinders gas exchange anyway.

I'll give my story for some positivity. At our place 5 positives, sister asymptomatic without anything, mom coughed 2 days, I rested one Saturday, wife 2 days fatigue, dad from high risk group with heart defect from birth 1 week fever. Now all healthy. Kids all without symptoms. Don't want any conspiracy theories, just saying how it was.

Ours is going to work tomorrow, hope they won't swab her nose anymore. Served her 10 days, now onwards. We're both still without taste, smell recovering somehow, feeling ok. A little joke. Worst beer I've ever drunk, like these days.

 "širhaklal" up the nose, good expression. Well let me say, they've swabbed me 4 times already (due to periodic checkups at clinic) and 1 time in Greece in September (throat swab) per then protocol. So far always negative. Still a smoker (now more passively, but not Bojan - what was that about inhaling and US presidents ), though probably smoking had a strong effect on my illness.
That's my experiences so far.
