Regarding rapid tests and omicron (LFT = Lateral Flow Test or our rapid test):
There is some suggestion that Omicron is taking an especially long time to show up on LFTs. What does this mean for how people should interpret LFTs?
Petersen says there are two probable reasons for this. First, it’s likely that vaccinated people or those with immunity from prior infection have symptoms even before they become infectious, as these are immune responses. Second, it is possible – though uncertain – that transmission with Omicron occurs at lower viral loads. “If the latter is the case, it is important that people start to isolate as soon as they have any symptoms that suggest they may have Covid, even if the LFT is negative,” she says.

Because omicron also infects recovered and vaccinated, the course of infection is different: symptoms appear first, only then does the person become infectious.

And if a person tests (PCR or AGT) right at the beginning of symptoms, it's of course possible that with omicron they are not yet infectious then.
Similar to a cold. The optimistic scenario would be that omicron fades like a cold...

Yes, but they know exactly how many omicron infections there are, at least that's what they tell us. That's why I still don't know how they get that data.

No one knows exactly how many Omicron infections there are. Except maybe Facebook experts, they know it all anyway. And those who still need schooling in data interpretation 
What NIJZ reports is at least this many and that many Omicron cases, because certain PCR tests are sent for additional sequencing. You yourself wrote that variant can only be determined by sequencing.
No one claims "exactly knows how many Omicron infections", if you find such claim from official sources, paste the link.

In Germany and Netherlands hospital beds are lacking.....maybe they over-vaccinated, what do you say? Maybe you have to exactly right, 83% too little, 84% already too much? Or maybe they are lying there just so, because they have nothing to do with milder course of disease? Or that forbidden thought, what if they are lying there exactly because of vaccination? Maybe because of harmless omicron which is 43x more contagious?
