The National Institute of Public Health has so far received one report of an adverse effect after covid-19 vaccination and one report of death coinciding with vaccination. It is a death in one of the nursing homes. NIJZ informed the Ministry of Health about it. A few days after vaccination, some residents of Ajdovščina Elderly Home were infected with the new coronavirus. According to the home director, they are experiencing the infection practically without symptoms, or the symptoms are very mild.
The National Institute of Public Health (NIJZ) confirmed that they have so far received one report of an adverse effect from vaccination with the Pfizer and BioNTech vaccine and one report of death temporally coinciding with vaccination, namely in one of the nursing homes.
NIJZ informed the Ministry of Health about the matter in the afternoon, which will convene the vaccination commission. It will examine the case in detail, they announced. At the same time, NIJZ explained that covid-19 vaccination continues. They provided no further information.

That one person died after vaccination has recently circulated on social networks. State Secretary at the Ministry of Health Marija Magajne said at the morning press conference that they have no information on it, and explained that NIJZ collects data on side effects, whereby "any event associated with vaccination is analyzed and it is determined whether it was actually connected to vaccination".
The state secretary also commented on reports that some elderly in nursing homes fell ill after vaccination. As she explained, they were probably infected before vaccination but were in the incubation period and showed no signs of infection. She noted that this is possible with covid-19 as well as other diseases when the vaccine has not yet taken effect and the vaccinated person was in incubation.
"According to vaccine manufacturer data, at least 50% protection is ensured 14 days after the first dose," she said regarding protection against infection for those vaccinated. "Many nursing home residents have already recovered from the infection, 8000 were vaccinated, meaning at least 4000 would be immune 14 days after the first dose." The first effects of vaccination will be noticeable after 14 days. "The second dose significantly increases this protection. This will have a partial impact on hospitalizations in the second half of January. Overall it depends on incidence in the general population."

27 residents infected in Ajdovščina Elderly Home who have received first vaccine dose
Home director Tanja Stibilj-Slemič explained that currently 32 residents and six employees are infected. The first employee returns to work as expected by end of this week. All residents expressing interest have been vaccinated – 90 of them. Of 32 actively infected residents, 27 received vaccine. All vaccinated with first dose are experiencing the disease practically without symptoms or very mild, the director added. If so in coming days, first residents will leave the red zone within the home after Jan 11.
She emphasized vaccine came a bit late to maintain the situation held for nine months. "Maybe thanks to vaccination we'll get through this infection easier," she said.
First dose given Dec 27. Up to 95% protection promised by manufacturers ensured after two doses.

For New Year same, just opposite direction. He was there now due to private visit to her and as @guki quoted the decree, it says 'due to visit'. Nothing says anything else can't be done. OK.
