We were taught in school that 5 million Jews died. Now it's already 6. In Germany Holocaust denial is punishable, people were punished even for reducing the number of dead. So, if I'd say in Germany that there were 5 million, not knowing it's already 6, would I go to jail? Just asking! I deny nothing, Holocaust was horrific.

You get it, right, that one population is a subset of the other? Namely all over 75 are also over 65. If calculating for population up to 85 (as hočo said) then besides the intersection also consider the difference. But no doubt such a banality escapes you.

The data cited by @hočo refer to deaths per infected. According to NIJZ data, this percentage for over 85 is 3.30 for men and 2.36 for women.

Primoza, your approximations and assumptions with official numbers will never match. The Covid tracker says they have no official numbers. Official ones are at the statistical office; you'll have to wait a bit for that.
Regarding Covid deaths, here are two statements.
First from your friend.
"Everyone who dies today, or 95 percent of those who die today, regardless of dying perhaps as a result of cancer but had Covid alongside, is attributed as having died from Covid." No, this was not stated by the famous Covid skeptic Marko Potrč, but by the Minister of the Interior Aleš Hojs in the Tarča show on December 10 on TV Slovenia.
"People who died and were proven positive, in Slovenia we treat as having died with Covid-19, regardless of the subsequent cause of death. Many other countries chose a different approach and report significantly fewer deaths, hence the discrepancy," explained Mateja Logar from the Clinic for Infectious Diseases and Febrile Conditions at Ljubljana's UKC at the government press conference, adding that the number of deaths in hospitals has not increased percentage-wise compared to the first wave. The reason is simply a much larger number of infected.

When interpreting data we must pay attention to what each term means. Mortality and death rate are not the same concepts. Mortality is the number of deaths compared to the number of infected. From covid tracker data in the 85+ population mortality [is] 20% (31% for men and 17% for women). We get 20% mortality because in the 85+ group 1451 people died, infected (confirmed cases) there were 7135 people. Mortality by age groups drops quickly: in 75-84 group 11.5%, 65-74 3.7% and 55-64 0.5%.
Death rate means the number of deaths in a certain population and is usually shown per 1000 inhabitants. In Slovenia in 85+ population [there are] 54136 people, in this group died from covid 1451, which gives death rate 2.68% (3.3 [for] men [and] 2.44 women). Of course the devil is in the details and we can argue if all shown died from covid or [if the] number of confirmed [cases equals the number of] actual infected. If [the] data snapshot [is] the same for all data and similar.
