The following joke, which I saw today, has become more real than funny over the last year: it actually comes out more tragicomic... Voilà:
An American, a Russian and a Slovene come before God. American: "When will we get out of the crisis?"
God: "In 50 years." The American starts crying and says: "I won't live to see that ..."
Russian: "When will we get out of the crisis?"
God: "In 70 years." The Russian starts crying and says: "I won't live to see that ..."
Slovene: "When will we get out of the crisis?"
God starts crying and the Slovene asks him: "Why are you crying?"

To each their own... I, for example, like English black, sometimes cynical humour, like those about blondes, police, etc., and stand-up comedians. They don't need to always be full IQ, etc. And here I just assessed that the debates in this topic are already so serious and "charged" that we need to release some steam.
I apologize if it's not to everyone's liking.
But if you had read the paragraph before the very "joke" about the "Šentlorjanska dolina" well, you would see that it actually increasingly looks like this is no joke at all, but an ever sadder reality. Which is proven by, e.g., today's evening government decisions on purchasing "underwear and socks"!

brett, sure I read your additional note and I fully understand it.
But what a grudge! Sure keep writing jokes and enjoy them if you like.
I'm more of a realist. I don't need "light" (read: idiotic) jokes, my heart doesn't ache nor do I cry over politics or corona.
I see no added value in mentally burdening myself with it.

In this thread I'll post some pics, jokes for good mood. But this time I'll chime in a bit differently...
The fact is, the virus is here, it's not harmless and every individual should do as much as possible for the well-being of themselves, their loved ones and the nation. On the other hand, it's also a fact that "rushed" experts didn't destroy the economy. Not in SLO, not anywhere else in Western civilization. But politics and partly media! We'll pay for it... the common folk!
Because somewhere there's a limit to these nebulous things happening in the last six months. The state should strategically care for the most vulnerable groups (e.g. nursing homes, etc.), and let the rest of life go on. But this way the price of "buses" of direct victims in the long run will become "train compositions, cruise ships" of indirect victims!
But at the same time I'm wondering "dear ones", if with this health issue the entire civilization is already staggering, panicking, etc., what the hell would happen if a really bad epidemic struck... say in such a striking form as the medieval plague, Spanish flu, ... It seems everything would go to hell! As one doctor told me: people would kill each other then! And she's convinced such a bad time will come: an outbreak of a pandemic when this Covid-19 will seem like a cold.

Panicking? Maybe. But I've never panicked because of this virus. Not even a bit. People always unite when it's hardest for them. In Slovenia that's not the case. Meaning problems are minimal. When problems are really big, it'll be different. That's not now. People have time to play on forums and cry because kids are home, not in school. This isn't a crisis. This isn't any crisis at all. People obviously don't know what a crisis is. Only tourism and hospitality workers can complain. Tourism and hospitality are in crisis. And not even everywhere. Still more than half of restaurants are closed, even though they could work and deliver food. But obviously they don't feel like it. Obviously not the real crisis yet. Right question is why people complain at all? Pathetic. Too much free time?

That people are really "idiots", as some here say, unfortunately holds true as nailed down. Happened recently: infected lady from a village in Posavje goes visiting around the village. Visits neighbors and relatives. Result is known. Stupidity squared. The lady deserves a diploma for idiocy.

Where I live only 2 catering places are operating and delivering food. They have too much work. They can't even deliver pizza in normal time. The other 10 catering places are closed. Waiting what the government decides. Waiting for help? Is this a crisis? Not to mention factories desperately looking for workforce, both men and women. They'd hire immediately. But can't find workers. Is this a crisis? Spoiled Slovenians, not a crisis...
