Hribolaznik, go better get some sleep. My wife works in a nursing home and they had the same number of deaths in 2019 as in 2020. The difference was only in the determined causes of death.

Bravo Becar, so instead of admitting your mistake you start (to yourself) digging an even bigger hole and try the tactic of diverting attention and further distorting the truth - exactly what you accused the authorities and media of in your original message.
For comparison, instead of the average of the last 4-5 years (which is of course by far the most relevant for comparison), you chose 1983, which had by far the highest mortality in the last 70 years (10.662), just to disprove their statement and get to 7.7% excess mortality. Why didn't you choose 2006 (9.345) instead, based on which we would conclude that mortality in 2020 increased by as much as 23%!! But no, that would be distorting the truth then, right?
I took another 5 minutes to unequivocally show who is really the one distorting the truth in this debate (so authorities/media or you). For the base I took the period of the last 37 years, i.e. the average from 1983 (including your year) to 2019, and got average mortality 9.685 / 100,000 inhabitants. If we compare that to 2020 we get (11.481 / 9.685) excess mortality 18.54%, which is even higher than what was presented in our media (there they stated 17.3%, because they took only 5-year average).
MORE DIFFERENT COMPARISONS:
30-year average - 18.54%
"Slovenian media and authorities" - 17.3%
Becar - 7.7%
This year I've dealt with quite a few individuals like you, and honestly, a deeper debate is really a big waste of time because of constant diversion/distorting the truth. Accordingly, I (mainly for myself) ended the conversation with you, but still hope you'll start solving your dissatisfaction (with job, family, wife, government or whatever) in some other way, and not the way you've shown in the debate so far.

Exactly, you have to rely on statistics and constantly deal with them. That strengthens resistance or makes immunity. From it surely all sick will recover and stay healthy I suggest they stuff us with statistics instead of vaccine, then everything will be OK. Important is to know %, everything else is secondary; then rules are set on that %, which everyone with our mentality will firmly follow, like all other rules; which is very noticeable, e.g., in traffic.

Lunatixz, look at the mortality projection ahead, then you can see we have a strong influence of population aging. If you take the average of the last 3 years, you'll have to wait another 3 years ahead and calculate the average there too. Statistical deviations are always present. Maybe you didn't notice, I didn't want to on purpose, but still look at the 50s for Slovenia, when mortality exceeded the current one. Mortality will rise due to population aging, that's expected, nothing unusual. Otherwise, I have no intention of convincing sheep who blindly believe in covid mafia, because it's pointless.
I've had a lot of personal experiences with this covid, those count most for me. You just lock yourself somewhere with a gas mask and spacesuit so you don't catch anything. No worries, I'm enjoying life even in these times without unnecessary burdens.
