I thought for a while whether to post this story or not, but anyway, so we don't just think about irresponsible Czechs and other foreigners, let's look at our own doorstep.
Saturday morning stroll around Donačka and then to the summit. Start from in front of Žerak's farm around 10:30. Two buses parked at the parking lot, interesting, I think, they had just parked there until Monday morning. Izletnik Celje.
But I soon realized that they had brought children, as many voices were heard in the forest. Well, we catch up to them, assuming they would turn right towards Rudijev dom.
But it wasn't so. I surprisedly stare at this long line of children resting a bit on the saddle.
My question: do you know where you're going, do you know the path ...
I briefly describe the path to them, warn about dangers, better that they change direction ...
"Don't scare us," the lady answers, "this path was chosen for us. We have a guide ahead, tell him too." My husband had already talked to the gentleman, then I did too, but he said he knows the path and the children will manage.
Horror. I knew it wouldn't be easy for them, but it wasn't clear to me how the guide could take responsibility for all those kids, some of whom were about five years old.
When we returned to the starting point, we met the drivers, and a conversation ensued. The children had safely reached the summit, the teachers were concerned ...
After the conversation, I realized there was no guide at all, but an older local was leading the group, who probably hadn't been on this path for a long time; they were children from 1st to 3rd grade, and I assume they had a sports day and were doing a work Saturday.
I wonder if the teachers were aware of their responsibility, that they had no idea what path they were heading on, and without a licensed guide, since if they had one, he would have allowed the children a few more nice moments and enjoyment of nature.
The story ended happily this time, but we need to talk about the responsibility of adults.
Where are the parents here? Did they perhaps know what path their children would have to walk?
Lp!
