If you're cold, why not try heating insoles? I don't use them while hiking because I'm not that cold, but they've worked great for warming injured muscles so far.

because it seems kinda totally unecological to me, single use. But I'd go to some hill every week and totally die every time if I'm in high all-year boots. I believe I'm not the only one.

I'll have to dance a lot more on the hills to destroy all these town shoes..

geppo, I doubt it, all pairs still have good soles. I use them all occasionally, as needed. Each pair has good and bad properties, verified. The all-year tibetke and latest summer ones are used most. And you've done yourself harm, you won't be able to buy new ones

Hello! I intend to buy new hiking boots. Now I have old Planika ones, which are still occasionally in use. Since I have quite a large foot, size 43, I usually have quite a bit of trouble buying footwear. Women's boots are no longer in my sizes, so I buy men's. Please advise on a narrower men's boot model. I will wear the boots for several hours a day (work), but not in any high mountains. That is, for walking in the forest, approx. 1000 m a.s.l., in all seasons. Thanks.

I wouldn't want to advise you on a specific model, but La Sportiva mostly has narrower boot models. They suit me very well too. Regards

evalia8, best to try more of them. Not every foot is for every boot. E.g., La Sportiva has a very low heel and you really have to get used to them. But they have super rubber that doesn't slip much even on ice.. at least it used to be.

They have Vibram rubber. Like almost all others.

Currently I have Lowa Mauria GTX WS boots... overall I'm satisfied (that "tongue" at the back is really nice), but the rubber in front is so sensitive, gets damaged quickly and the sole profile wears out on rocks pretty fast in my feeling. Can someone recommend some similar but a bit more robust boots from experience?

Hello, I'd ask for info if there's any store in Graz with La Sportiva hiking boots? Or somewhere else near Slovenia. I'd like to buy La Sportiva Evo G5 or La Sportiva Evo G2. In Iglu they only have large sizes. I have foot size 39, so I'd probably need somewhere 41, 42. I'd be very glad for info. But I have to try the boot of course. Thanks. Mateja

Hi, Turbo, thanks for these two links. I wrote to them by e-mail, but from both links I haven't got a response yet.

Go try them on, to see which ones fit your foot best.

I have them and they are basically ok for me... they are quite warm, so for me they only come into play as winter ones, I miss that they are not for semi-automatic crampons (also otherwise quite soft for crampons)... what seems most pronounced to me compared to some other mountaineering boots I have, is (this is my subjective feeling), that relative to the last they have a relatively high and narrow sole, which somewhat affects the feeling of stability...
