Today I treated myself to a slightly longer tour around Golte.
Started at Gosteče then circular via Linš, Konečka planina, Kala, Starih stanov, Konjski vrh, Tirske peči, Mesarska lopa, ferrata in Okencu, Window, Javorca and via Požganija back to start.
Had nice weather, just cold enough that it crunched underfoot. Very little snow. Up to Tirske didn't meet a soul. There two hunters who used the nice day for hunting. Saw about 25 chamois, but they were always too fast or too far for a photo.
At the bivouac I chatted with a friendly hiker from Škale, with whom we descended together.
Had a nice time. Golte didn't disappoint again.

It was a wonderful day on Tuesday, so it had to be used.
Again the Tirske peči tempted me. On the way I stopped at Planinska ravnina and watched chamois grazing in Požganija. A bit further I parked.
Under Bela peč a young chamois came onto the road splashing to greet me while I was tying my shoe. At Malinski vrh I turned up the track towards Travnatnci. Hunters cleaned the path nicely after the windstorm. At Travnatnci I climbed to the viewpoint and then descended via Cmonka to the gully at Lopna peč.
Protections in the gully were ice-free. Cleaning piled stones from previous visit helped, now water flows a bit differently down the wall. Of course I stopped at Lopna peč, signed in and enjoyed the view.
Continued to Zg. Lopi and a bit below it saw chamois again. This part of the path is especially dear to my heart. Due to sheer Tirske walls below it is quite adrenaline-filled, view is divine all the time and intensifies with every meter gained. Also lots of wildlife here.
Path through dense forest to Konjski vrh always takes me into various thoughts. On pasture of Konjski vrh a bushy pygmy owl showed up but too short time to capture it.
Stop at Pr'Žlajferju used for hot drink. It was excellent. Owner Iztok gave me bottle of viljamovka for barrel at bivouac. Thanks again.
On way to bivouac met friend from Letuš who was already in a hurry to gondola. At bivouac lit fire and indulged in enjoyment.
Meanwhile wonderful weather quickly turned less wonderful making return to valley easier.

On Friday I call Janez from below Govt and we arrange another crazy tour for Saturday velik nasmeh
In the morning we head towards Tirske peči, where a young chamois greets us right at the start. It whistled twice and ran under the road from where it followed us from a safe distance for a bit zavijanje z očmi
Holds in the gully are ok, only the cable is encased in thick ice. At Lopna peč we take a short break for a snack and enjoying the views.
We continue through Gamsji vrt to Žlajfer for a hot drink. Host prepared something special again for the table, this time seafood salad, which surprisingly went down well even though I'm not an octopus fan velik nasmeh
We continue past Starih stanov to sedlo Kal, past hunting hut to Žlebiška planina, chapel to Konečka planina, then a bit our own way to bivouac at Javorca, where we take a well-deserved break. Janez lit the fireplace so we weren't cold then we reached for food and drink with "andohtjo" velik nasmeh
Before return to valley couldn't skip stop at Osama Bin Ladnu at Mozirska koča, then descent to car in dusk.
While writing my experiences from yesterday I quickly remembered sore and burning feet from our wandering up and down and around whole Golte. Added up to good 20km walking, maybe a bit more. cool for season end it'll be OK.

Some January snapshots from 14 wanderings around Golte. Of course I stopped at the bivouac every time, sometimes lit a fire, often watched chamois, several times saw rock climbers, walked alone, walked with friends, met other hikers, trampled virgin snow, fixed trails and rejoiced at returning to Golte again, which I'll obviously never tire of. Every time up there I experience something new, beautiful.

Janez, admirable is your love for Golte and this series of photos was very interesting to me, since the same landscape is always different, which also explains your visiting this corner of Slovenia again and again. Nino, you finally got me to post something on the forum. From February till today I've been up there 34 times. Of course I enjoyed every one of those wanderings, as the alpine pasture is beautifully different at every visit. No more snow, just some patches left. Wonderful, my beloved primroses are already blooming. Let the pictures say the rest.

Heda, nice to meet you both. Hats off to your blog too. Let me add some of my photos. The avriklji are really blooming wonderfully and worth seeing. The next day I went to Javorca via Tirške peči and met nice company there too. Avriklji are at their peak bloom there too.

May snow and avriklji on Golte.
The cold weather helped that the avriklji are still blooming profusely and beautify the outings around Javorca and Požganija.

On Golte something new is always happening. Mozirska koča is getting a new look. Larch wood will give it a really nice appearance and much-needed insulation.
Now on Golte we also have, like they had Benčo in Logarska dolina, a four-legged mascot Floki.
Avriklji have mostly wilted, but you can still find some nice flowers. There is a lot of wildlife offspring in the forests. Mushrooms are already there too. No more snow, except in Ledenica. Pasture fences are being renewed, which is a sign that livestock will soon be on the pasture. Usually they bring it the second weekend in June.

In the morning I had the honor to get to know him well. He joined me when I crossed the yard of Mozirska koča. He immediately offered himself as a guide and we went ...cool
He was always a few meters ahead of me, sometimes he went exploring on his own. He always returned. When I headed towards the rocky ridge I already knew in advance that he wouldn't go there!velik nasmeh
Indeed he didn't go with me, but disappeared into the dense forest. When I had just a few meters left to get out of the rock, I surprisingly noticed he's already waiting for mezavijanje z očmi
Of course we cuddle for a moment and he already leads me to the bivouac. His tongue hangs out of his mouth and he looks at me thirstily. In the bivouac I luckily find a bottle of water and teach him "from the bottle"! He does pretty well.
Once refreshed he leads me to the circular path.

It seems Janez has already thoroughly taught him about JP. I think now he can remove 50% of the markers, since Floki masters it!! He showed me everything. In case we came to some "critical" spot in the rock he sent me ahead. Of course then he climbed too. He even showed me the above mentioned point G from photo 39 on 27.1.2019.

Of course, then he led me back for a drink again. Then I led him back to the start. When I parked him at the hut after about 2.5 hours, I thanked the keeper, said goodbye to him. Descended back via ridges and finished the tour.
