Juliana Trail - 11th stage, Most na Soči - Tolmin and back. Nice path, although part of the cycling route is closed, wandering through villages is pleasant. Walking path along the artificial lake Most na Soči is wonderful. Nice. nasmeh

Although yesterday was not exactly sunny, we decided for the ninth stage of Juliana from Podbrdo past Trtnik village to Kalarsko sedlo. From Trtnik onwards we walked in snow to the saddle. Then descent to Kal village. We viewed the church in Stržišče. Continued to Znojile, Obloke, Koritnica and train in Grahovo ob Bači. Interesting path they routed. About 1000m ascent and 18 km. Yesterday trains were delayed. Already in the morning in Nova Gorica 15 minutes. That one after 16 o'clock we knew we wouldn't catch. But we didn't know it would be half an hour late. We missed it. Next one was an hour and a half later. But it also had more than half hour delay. Almost an hour. Repairing track to Bohinjska Bistrica, hence delays. We didn't complain at all, because time passed quickly. And we satisfied that we did this path through.

in the village Kal there is also a trough.

Then he really got a deer's antler by the path.

There are quite a few houses that are dilapidated.

The water in the troughs interests him more.

We also stop here. They have a device that removes leaves and the water is really clean.

Juliana Trail, 12th stage - from Tolmin to Kobarid.. nasmeh

Hot and interesting wandering, grasses scorched by heat. Deciduous trees in forests brown and falling. Path is flat; asphalt, paths, gravel alternate. Soča viewed just before Kobarid. But along the path church of St. Lawrence, where our poet Simon Gregorčič last lived. There are the only views of Soča valley. We returned by transport to Kranjska Gora, which runs only in season. From Kobarid to Bovec, then wait for bus to Kranjska Gora. nasmeh

Juliana Trail, 13th stage - from Kobarid to Bovec. nasmeh

Beautiful, varied path along the Soča River. Purely mountainous, a bit of everything. It goes up and down and is not on the planned track on the phone. But there are enough signs and markers. You look at the Soča, admire rapids, waterfalls, pools and enjoy. The lowland part is more solitary, to sort your thoughts and memories. Mostly on gravel, little asphalt. On the Soča it's lively, but little water. Nice, nice. nasmeh

Juliana Trail, 14th stage - from Bovec to Log pod Mangartom. Beautiful and interesting stage. The path is always varied. Gorges of Koritnica river and Nemčlja stream are wonderful. Nemčlje waterfall also nice, just not much water. At Koritnica works through tunnel to Kluže fortress. Stairs also made for viewing gorges, Koritnica river. All nice, just no public transport in villages like Log pod Mangartom and further to Trbiž. Just viewing gorges worth a visit. nasmeh

Juliana Trail, 15th stage - from Log pod Mangartom to Trbiž. Long path, considerable part of the path on asphalt. Markings only on Slovenian side, none through Italy. You look and guess where the path bends, as track on phone often doesn't match path. Still hard to find transport, although main season end. nasmeh

Ločanka thanks, Juliana Trail stages are interesting wanderings. Some small problems just spice up the path, if nothing worse. You never know what can happen, just hope luck wanders with you. nasmeh

Juliana Trail- 16th stage, from Tarvisio to Kranjska Gora... And I did this stage too. It was dark for a long time in the morning and it was already cold. Cycle path through Italy has no signs for Juliana Trail. A bit aside the path is Napoleon's statue. Sign for Zelenci is moved a bit higher by the cycle path. Little bridge over Sava is boarded shut. I saw it from the cycle path. Not much water in Zelenci, path and inn are nicely arranged. It was nice. nasmeh

4.4. Juliana Trail - 20th stage, from Solkan over Sabotin to...
Strong bora was raging across Primorska when my sister and I started the 20th stage in the opposite direction. Train to Solkan and along cycle path to junction for Sabotin. Mountain hut closed. Continue over Sabotin to ruins of St. Valentina. Path goes left on gravel road to tarmac. Track on phone shows right way. Then it gets a bit tangled. It was nice and views beautiful.. nasmeh

1.9....Juliana Trail- 17th stage, from Tolmin to PD Pod Ježo.
Stages in Primorska are tied to overnight stays in huts. PD Pod Ježo open only Friday afternoon, Saturday and Sunday all day. Same at Korada. Interesting hike, paths varied and up to top of Kolovrat, at Na Gradu path mostly ascends. No views unfortunately, wandering into unknown but fun. nasmeh

2.9...Juliana Trail- 18th stage, from mountain home Pod Ježo to Korada Shelter... Path keeps changing, road, bush, road... It's long, varied, most part in solitude. Markings plenty everywhere. No views even on Saturday. But nice path for thinking and recharging batteries. To Korada also by car. Trip for small and big and furry bunnies too..

3.9.... Juliana Trail - 19th stage, from Korada shelter to Šmartno. The path goes on road and through forest. Grapes are ripening and views only nearby. Constant mists in the distance. I finished all 20 stages of Juliana Trail from Kranjska Gora to Šmartno. It was nice in home areas, nice along Soča, nice in hills. I enjoyed all paths. People are friendly, but rarely met. Nice lonely paths not for insecure ones. Wandering unknown is special pleasure. It was nice. nasmeh
