Hunting path also under wall on S side. So continue through hollow along wall (yellow marks). Cca 15 min from hollow you'll see impressive heart in wall. Then continue to marked path past arranged climbing area to summit (from road to Hom). Otherwise this path more for pathfinders but doable...

Thought I knew Kamnik. For me totally new. Enjoyed immensely. Towards end lost track but saw ridge to summit so exited to marked path from Matk.
Chamois living here watched me from afar not scared at all. May it stay so!
Returned over summit and hunting back to start. Nice tour.
Maybe meet sometime on these pathless paths.

Late morning start at talcev. On hunting careful steps needed, can't rely on protections. At bench with best view break for snack and pics of lower Savinja valley. View really special. Continued along ridge to bivouac and marked back to car. On descent even sun showed

Since too much mental work, in afternoon go to clear mind on Kamnik. Parked a bit beyond cemetery and on nice path over Mali vrh and further along ridge to summit. Back on south path to saddle and via several forest tracks to valley to car.
No pics in heat, so some impressions. Although path sometimes hard to find despite good forum tips, no extra info, as searching is the charm of such hikes. Clever section over rock walls consists of two exposed traverses and two steep jumps. Though short, we'll climb it mostly without aids, as mentioned. Impression in gully under walls is impressive. Grassy ridgelet to summit characteristic of peaks here. Scenic bench in right spot

The south path from Zabukovica to the summit is newly marked.

For all who climb Kamnik also walls on east side, a bit to think about. In these walls nests the Eagle Owl, last heard two years ago, this year observed Peregrine Falcon. Maybe appropriate to always approach the same path (hunting), or from west and south sides.

Really interesting VIDEO about Kamnik. But all Kamnik's neighbors are unique and worth such treatment (Slomnik, Kotečnik).
