Before afternoon family duties catch up with me, I head to Dedec. Almost no snow left, but descent required caution as the ground is mixed - snow, ice, frozen rocks with soil and leaves. Before stepping on the summit ridge, I turned left up to the thicket to shake it a bit, since I hadn't for a long time. The dense belt of tall pines resisted full force, and it couldn't go without knocking me back a little! Good for it! I haven't enjoyed like this in a while! Those feelings, the ones that had faded a bit over the years, surged up. Like just starting to hike mountains, I was soaking in the beauties of the path! Alone from Klin to summit and back. Only when crossing the stream on the return did I run into two foreign ladies looking for the Dedec turn-off. Returned via Jermanca, turned to hunting trail there and followed it high under the walls. Missed Lepi kamen turn-off, blindly crossed steep slope till I caught the path leading left up towards Bobnarjev plaz. Before the steep gully I looked around, spotted the hut roof below. Descended lower and soon hiked the path to Lepi kamen. To car in Kamniška Bistrica by road and marked path, past nice climbing boulder. Great day!

Nice route description, Zoran! And I like the fifth pic with Sukavnik, Stanič, Najvišji rob and Lučki Dedec.

What does shaking the thicket mean?

What does "shaking brushwood" mean? It can have several meanings. Brushwood belongs to the blueberry group. It mostly grows into shrubbery, but it also happens that it grows into a tree. Well, "shaking brushwood" can mean forcing one's way through a dense or sparse belt of pine shrubbery. Or I can joke and say that "shaking brushwood" means providing better ventilation to the shrubbery. Sometimes on purpose, sometimes not.

... And while forcing one's way through, over and under brushwood, the least nice thing is when brushwood shakes you On purpose

Our crew calls forcing through trackless brushwood, of course, with one word: brushwood therapy

Movement in steep terrain with the help of brushwood can be called jerking

Zoran, next time shake it when it's blooming. The sensations are exceptional.

Don't say Drago, I've already shaken quite a few blooming rhododendrons! Nothing better!

When it blooms, I say that behind a good horse it always smokes heavily.

Thanks Kafetarca for the question about rhododendron! We could easily open a topic "rhododendron"!

Yesterday at 9:30 on the summit wonderful day, no breeze, completely calm. Start from Kamniška Bistrica, path in some higher sections still quite annoyingly icy - best to hop around next to ice patches where '2000' people have already melted it Regards Peter
