Below are remnants of frozen snow, on it there is quite a lot of fresh fallen snow, since sometimes towards the summit you sink to your butt. Otherwise it goes, but you tire yourself quite a bit. lp

Yesterday my colleague and I set off for KD the second time within one week, the reason being lost glasses somewhere on the path beyond Klin. Most likely lost either at the hunter's hut or on the top of K. Dedec. Otherwise, yesterday we searched everything but sadly didn't find them, because last Saturday conditions were dry, now snow. If someone finds them by chance (worth 120EUR) send me a private message. Thanks; If the snow clears by next week we'll go up once more!!

I wasn't paying attention to lost stuff, because I was more lost myself so unfortunately I saw nothing, snow's to blame too yeah.. I think you still have chances to find them, since it's not an overly crowded mountain

This morning on Kamniški Dedec. Rain, sleet, fog ... in short - nice. For the icing on the cake during descent a bit to the little waterfall in Sedelšček streambed. Who would've thought ... Lp.

Hello! Maybe someone knows the path that branches off left a bit below the hunter's hut below Kamniški Dedec. Looks quite trodden, probably leads somewhere to Repov kot. Am I right? What's the difficulty like? LP, Leon

On the descent from Kamniški Dedec past the hunter's hut towards Sedelšček, the path forks. The left path, which goes down through the gullies, is described here. The straight path leads higher above the streambed and is easy and easy to follow, only at one place somewhat damaged, but that place can be bypassed (danger of slipping on leaves). After crossing a smaller gully we come to a new junction - straight the trail goes towards Staničev vrh, the left trail brings us past two memorial markers to the streambed (star under the rock on the left and memorial plaque to Ivan Roblek Peter right next to or already in the Sedelšček streambed). We cross it at the memorial plaque, climb a bit up the bank and then descend along the trail past the junction for Kamniško sedlo towards Jermanci. From the left just before this junction the ravine from the upper connection joins us.

Kamniški Dedec today was not occupied by hikers like most Slovenian peaks, so it was very suitable for today's tour. The morning view was wonderful, at the hunter's hut just the right corner where one could enjoy a peaceful rest.

Today around 6 I set out from Jermance, past the hunter's hut to Kamniški Dedec. Nice weather, wonderful view and almost no hikers.

I'm interested how much more walking there is from the hunter's hut. LP and happy holidays.

Today at least 16 of us were up there! Otherwise it was a pretty ideal target, because it was not in the cloud. Sedla, Staničev vrh and surroundings were exceptionally visible, because the base was at around 1800m. Conditions are one negligible bit more slippery than in summer.

On the hunter's path to the summit there is quite some dry snow - up to 30 cm in certain sections. Crampons are not needed yet, but you slip a bit at times, but it goes OK. On the summit today it was 0°C.

Yesterday I was on Dedec, views super, only the cloud from Planjava wouldn't move anywhere, so I waited for it (=martinčkal) 30 minutes To Klin dry, further some snow at some places, but nothing critical. Since the path is quite steep, you need to be somewhat careful, because it is still wet and icy somewhere. Along the ridge from Črni vrh it goes nicely, the summit itself is dry and grippy. Aja, also, from surrounding mountains you can hear rocks falling (quite frequently), so helmet on your head if you go anywhere under some wall...

Today due to forecasted thunderstorms we decide only for a short morning tour to Kamniški Dedec. Morning in Kamniška Bistrica where we started was so nice that we already wondered if we hadn't uselessly fallen for the weathermen…in the end it turned out that we had decided just right. Path without special features, except that along the path there is constant rustling and pattering because really huge number of forest mice are scurrying everywhere. Crossing of Sedelšček stream is dry, practically no water except some "puddles" lower down. In between it had already clouded over, but sun still managed some power, so it was warm on top, no wind, views nice too. When it got black behind Lučki Dedec, we started descending. First drops fell…at first more refreshment than anything serious, well, in Klin it started….a proper thunderstorm that "soaked" us the whole way back. When we got back to the car, as if cut off, the sun shone…of course … Definitely a nicely exploited morning...

Interesting that you continued to Repov kot, yet still reached the hut — classic is crossing the stream ~100m behind the fork at V klinu (first picture).
