Today nice loop via Planina Osredek to Kamniški Peak. The path itself without features. A bit windy, views nice though.

Me too today over Hudi Konec to Kamniški Peak and down the same path as Trobec. What a beautiful and uncrowded path the ascent to Hudi Konec is. I scared three herds of chamois, or maybe they scared me. Take it as you will big grin

On the way back I promise myself to check the descent towards Potok valley a bit further next time.

Ben, if you combine the path along Potok and Hudi Konec, you have a nice loop trail. wink

Hi!

True, and I did combine that path too. Up over Hudi Konec, down over Bosova Šija and then towards Grohat and down to the valley. However, it seems to me that the descent from Grohat (see the GPS track picture from Trobec's post as I started descending there too) can also be done a bit later, which I'll check next time. Or even one gully further towards Grohat summit, and then down along the next gully from the one I mark with the purple arrow.

While looking as I was descending, the purple variant seems feasible too.

, I went to this peak today via the gully of Korošaški Waterfalls.
Given the drought, I was quite surprised that some waterfalls are still there. smile

I managed to follow the path completely, which ends below Planina Osredek, yes but true, I've walked here many times before. Below there are two bypasses, one harder, the other a bit easier. But it's steep… wink

Return over Šija to the starting point.

Nice afternoon loop path over Planina Osredek to Kamniški Peak. Unmarked path along the ridge is dry. Marked path along the northern slope is still snowy. Quite windy at the top.

Yesterday along the route Stahovica - Hudi konec - Kamniški Peak - Planjava - Pl. Osredek - Kriška pl. - Pl. Jezerca - Ambrož - Klemenčevo - Stahovica.
All paths normally passable, ascent to Hudi konec quite pleasant, nice views along the ridge, towards KSA giants mists quickly gathered, on return to start wondered why I have a bike at home. jezen

in front Kamniški vrh, there in the background on the saddle is Kriška pl.

there are many pogačice along the entire path

This time a somewhat longer circular route. Parked by Bistričica stream and climbed Rebra to ridge between Strmi and Ravni senožeti, continued to viewpoint above hunting hut and along ridge to Kamniški Peak. Views wonderful, best on ascent to Planjava with view to peaks from Brana to Velika planina. Continued to planina Osredek and down steep flank to valley to stream, visited nice Korošaski waterfall. On Sunday around my beloved hill.

Start in Klemenčevo, then to Korošak where I turn right and straight along the neck to Planjava summit. There head to Planina Osredek, a bit lower branch to upper traverse path (I call it panoramic) nasmeh

Path brings us to Rožca, where I climbed right side directly to Kamniški Peak top, then to saddle and from there past pomol to hunting hut and via Sleva back to car. Very nice loop, gathered 9 km walk and 1000 m elevation gain, colors gorgeous!

Today, a circular route to Kamniški Peak a bit differently - via the northern slopes.

Start at the bridge and further along the path to Hudega konca. Right at the path start, the wind had felled a big beech, so a bit of exercise right away. The path is muddy up to 950 m altitude, where we put on ketne (microspikes).

From Hudega konca to Kamniški Peak, dodging snowdrifts and piles of wind-blown snow a bit, but pleasant to continue.

At KV, a short rest and tea, then to the saddle and there followed the trail to Kajfejev rob. Snow alternates between drifts/ice/wet dry snow. The latter is most abundant, gaiters useful (ca 30-40 cm).

The key spot above the steep gully crossed very carefully, then with relief into easier terrain. Followed the path very well, only on the last part of the descent to the road a bit our own way steeply down to the road. Then followed it to the car at the start, where we grilled sausage. 13 km, 880 m elevation on the path and 4h30min enjoyable walk. North side will see me again!

Yesterday before shift to Kamniški Peak via Korošaki waterfalls. Fully spring-like already, no snow anywhere anymore. Just some mists instead of nice view.

Today reconnaissance for my Četrkovci-retirees group PD Škofja Loka. Drove to the path start for Kamniški Peak from Molnarjev breg - 1200 m elev. Hikers must unfortunately walk that asphalt from cekvice and guesthouse at Sv. Ambrož - no other way. Then forest paths to some start, where right forks the forest road which leads above planina Osredek. Here turn left on nice partly ridge path to Planjava - 1243 m. Then descend a bit and up again to the top of Kamniški vrh, where there is summit mark, box for entries and stamp. A bit further the hut and nice viewpoint down to Kamnik side. Here I planned to descend via Kamniška roža down to Ravne senožeti and from there to planina Osredek. I did this path myself. However, I realized it would be too tough a nut for my hikers. Path steep, gravelly, partly precipitous - no go. I of course descended to Ravne senožeti and from there to planina Osredek. This path is unmarked and locally quite demanding. I decided to return via the approach route and at the junction for Planjava descend to planina Osredek. Then we will go along the forest road that starts above the planina and leads to the higher start above, where the nice trail actually starts the ridge path to Kamniški vrh. We can also go up the trail, but there are two steep ascents on this path that we will rather skip.

Elevation difference really minimal - only 60 m. Elevation difference on path actually 200. For up and down I used about four hours.

Today the path was dry. Met only five hikers on the entire path.
