Can the path maybe be compared to Jubilee on Prisojnik?

Jubilejna is technically and also fitness-wise (on ascent to window) difficult.
MMD path is not for the dizzy.

Thanks, I did the Jubilee, this one awaits me soon.

If the Jubilee didn't trouble you, then the MMD Path shouldn't either. I was a bit unnerved reading comments about how horrible and exposed this path is and oh and so on, but it turned out not scary at all, the path is wide enough everywhere, nowhere do you walk right on the edge. Pure pleasure for me. Not for the dizzy, though, I agree.

Definitely don't forget Vršac at the end. Great viewpoint, just a little off the path nasmeh

Thanks Ppegan... yeah, kind of like me... I read comments too much sometimes, even Mrzla gora was fear and dread for me, kept delaying it, ended up enjoying it a lot and can say it's one of the nicest here. Thanks for the encouraging words.
Turbo_Vršac - that one a bit off the path where you descend to the hut at Prehodavcih?

Yes, that's it. From memory, at least 15 years ago zavijanje z očmi When you reach the notch, from where the view opens down towards Prehodavci and the valley of the seven lakes, a little path branches off to the right. Usually a cairn, also continuing to the summit there (were?) cairns. I then descended from the summit straight down steep grasses, but you can also go back via the marked path to the hut. Really nice viewpoint, at one spot there (was?) a wooden post, below it a rope leading to a lower rocky shelf, beneath it a huge drop velik nasmeh There (maybe still) base jumpers were jumping.

Thanks, I'll tackle the path with great caution and hope for enjoyment and nice views. I admit that my adrenaline is already running full blast now nasmeh

It will be more than fair to report back nasmeh These ledges are wonderful, from Zadnjica towards Dolič, at the junction into them. When you look at them, they look really a bit "scary", but once you're in them, it's pure poetry. Caution of course is not excessive. If I were to choose from which side to cross them once more, I would choose the same direction again.

Yesterday and today we with friends did a loop from Vrata to Dolič, Kanjavec and Poprovec and returned via Vodnikov Vršac and Kanjavčev Shelves. The path over the ledges is normally passable, no problematic snow patches anywhere. We stepped on snow only right at the junction to the mulatiera from Dolič. At two spots rocks crumble onto the path, but it's easy to pass, and some cable is looser. Therefore I recommend as cautious as possible enjoyment of these incredible passages and views nasmeh
Leafless nadbradec - very rare orchid in Vratih.1
Along the mulatiera to Dolič - ruins of Gemona.2
Wild ridge3
Here we will stroll tomorrow.4
Vodnikov Vršac and Zadnjiški Ozebnik5
Exceptional views during the hike to Kanjavec.6
Evening view from Vodnikov vrh towards Triglav.7
and towards the Valley of Triglav Lakes.8
Sunset9
Morning view of what awaits us.10
Views towards the peaks above Kriški podi are spectacular throughout.11
Initial section of the ledges.12
Small rockslide (photo taken backwards).13
14
Young alpine songbird.15
With every bend, more beautiful passages.16
Deep below us we spotted a female chamois with her young.17
Luka and Jon on the more exposed section.18
19
We are getting steadily closer to the mulatjera.20
Last section of the path. On the left is the only snowfield that needs to be crossed.21
Ibex at the end :)22

I'm wondering if there are any snow patches on the Mira Marko Debeljak path?
like
pohodnik33313. 08. 2023 12:46:15
It's dry. 10-14 days ago I went through the scree and no problem. Initial snowfield at Dolič can be bypassed. Regards,

Has anyone gone over Kanjavčeve Shelves this year? Condition?

Mikkeni, now there are surely still snowfields on the section. The hut keeper at Dolič will know. Regards

Despite many kilometers on the counter, I have to recalibrate the stability system every year before bigger challenges velik nasmeh. This trip choice was just right, but Kanjavčeve Shelves still surprise us zavijanje z očmi. Last time we were here almost a decade ago and I don't remember having to proceed in a crouching position anywhere. Maybe we've grown too, he he nasmeh.

Anyway... the path of Mira Debelakova is already passable, no more problematic snowfields (condition July 2025). Lots of scree, often the rock you just held onto remains in your hand. The path is suitable only for those experienced on such routes, more in the photo story...
Parks at the start of Zadnjica valley. Pays a reasonable 10€/24h1
We used to drive here, now it's an extra kilometre or so2
Zadnjica river is quite full, surprisingly there is mist above it despite high temperatures3
Here one sometimes went on foot. Well, rare individuals drove to the end point4
We are already quite a bit higher. A pleasant breeze from Gorenjska cools our path.5
The most spectacular view of the exceptional work of Italian builders.6
This is a view of Kanjavčeve police, or rather the path of Mira Debelakova.7
We continue on one of the most beautiful mule tracks in our region.8
Exactly along the edge of these bellies the initial traverse of the ledges runs.9
As expected. The entry snowfield is wide and will remain here for a long time.10
We descend to the gentle part and comfortably cross the snowfield's hollows to dry ground.11
We climb back to the marked path, where the first exposed section awaits us.12
The little path runs right above the precipitous bellies. You can't go other than extremely carefully.13
Soon the most difficult part of the traverse under the overhanging walls will come.14
Dark, precipitous gully where you have to walk part of the path in a squatting position. No protection.15
After the gully, the path is a shade easier, but still far from a stroll. This is a look back.16
And onwards …17
Occasionally some old cables appear, interestingly, even at less exposed places.18
We have to go over there, towards Vodnikov vrh.19
Several times we have to go a level higher or lower.20
The markers are completely renewed. This is especially useful in fog.21
Old and even older. Apparently, Žakelj equipped quite a bit of this.22
For an approximate impression of what this traverse looks like :)23
Helmet is mandatory. The rock here is quite crumbly.24
Continuation …25
View downwards just below the path :)26
Quite a fresh rockfall. With the old rockfall the rock oxidizes and acquires a grayish tint27
After the end of the traverse a concrete ascent follows in the direction of Vodnikov Vršac28
The highest of 7L, lake below Vršac. Nearby there is also a drinking water spring29
Koča on Prehodavci, unusually empty on such a nice weekend day30
View towards Vršac from the hut direction31
Rjavo lake has no permanent water inflow and the drought is strongly evident on it32
Our next goal is Kanjavec, so we set off towards the Hribarice saddle33
Lepo Špičje on the opposite side of the valley34
Unmistakable …35
We haven't met even one Slovene yet. The column in the photo are also Czechs36
Mišelj end, conclusion of the Mišeljski ridge37
Even before the saddle we turn towards Kanjavec38
Surprise, Slovenian word :) The three graces judging by speech are from Dolenjska39
We quickly reach the top where unfortunately everything smells of human fluids :(40
We catch our breath, take a souvenir photo and quickly set off again41
Direction Dolič via a somewhat more demanding path42
The start is quite solid, the path somewhat crowded43
Lower a sequence of cables follows. Nothing special, perhaps not for everyone44
There is still quite some snow, but we have no problems on the path.45
Koča on Dolič. We reach it quickly.46
He, he, with the pickaxe over empty cans. Good business :)47
A long descent to the starting point still awaits us.48
View back to the hut …49
View of the morning path on the ledges.50
The mulatjera also has some remaining snow.51
The return follows the same path as in the morning, only the views are different.52
We must descend down there and much lower still …53
Junction to Luknja.54
Zadnjica waterfalls. This source is still much higher along the path across Komar.55
It takes a while to descend to this junction. From here we have about an hour to the starting point.56
First house on the descent. Next to it is cooled drink in a tub, contributions voluntary.57
We are already in the photo finish :). Just a little more and we will complete the loop.58
This time we chose a rather ambitious tour. It came to 28 km and 2200 m of ascent.59
