Oh, Mosovnik, after a long time I spotted you. Maybe you remember me almost a decade ago, I asked you for some tips for Pohorje.

Nicely said, "armchair commentators". I agree with what you said. Be nice!

Easiest to label someone as "armchair commentator". Especially if we don't know them at all and they can't do anything to us. No one deserves that title, least of all those who don't post anything or make excuses with old stuff why they left the forum.
Easiest to leave, then occasionally "bash" someone.
Opinions are various and everyone has right to theirs. Preferably non-offensive!
That's why there's a forum, for sharing opinions and of course for trip reports.

I believe Darinka will continue posting her interesting hikes, maybe she'll "dip" somewhere again, but she surely won't post it anymore. Like most of us who did it sometimes, but maybe not anymore and don't find it appropriate and "friendly" to lakes and pools anymore.

SamoK
6.8.2018 Sad life if you think like an accounting manual...

SamoK accounting hasn't been done just from manuals for a long time. And accountants' thinking today is anything but easy. Manuals are for bookkeeping not accounting. So don't insult me and all other professions. If your accountant is so bad that they only use a manual then you need to replace them.nasmeh

Otherwise let's stop this about swimming.... Darinka just dipped and even posted it. I'm sure if she knew what awaited her she wouldn't have dipped even the little finger in water. From this she and probably others learned that we can't dip everywhere. Just like most learned to take trash to the valley. And I still picked up a beer can from the logbook box at Planjava and someone will still dip where it's not allowed sometime.
And Darinka keep posting and writing.

Please if someone recently passed through K. shelves - what's the condition?
Planning for the weekend to hike Zasavska hut-Triglav and wonder if someone knows how many hours for that tour.

Thanks, regards nasmeh

Send private message to Darinka (darinka4), she can tell you everything about the condition, since due to comments you can read on the last few pages, she withdrew her path post.

@marko_b: Was there with a friend on 4.8.2018.
Trail is dry. At entry from Dolič direction there's a snow patch, but no difficulties or dangers. The ledges themselves are dry and snow-free, much better than last year. Then one small patch right at the end under V. Vršac, but below the trail. Some new rocks along the trail, easy to bypass or step over. One cable peg pulled out almost mid-trail, but no danger, markings completely fresh. Walking on the ledges takes under 2 hours. Good luck and lots of beautiful views!

Come on darinka4, don't be so whiny and resentful. It's nice to read your posts and that counts!! Shame if you stop posting them. You brighten many a day and give useful information. Think it over, good luck nasmeh

Darinka, take it all with a grain of salt as I too have bad experiences with comments and rarely post my mountain adventures with my Mirjam and watch not to write anything controversial. Even Dejan got tons of negative comments but didn't stop posting and that's right. Just keep describing your experiences and take digging criticism as well-meant and a lesson for the future. Even experienced hikers make mistakes in nature protection; the important thing is it doesn't become mass as we'll litter our beautiful nature ourselves, which we often don't appreciate enough. I believe you're among aware hikers so expect your posts to continue, same from others who with experiences lift many from couch and help them become part of privileged lucky ones who enjoy our country's beauties. Nice mountain greetings to all, especially you Darinka

Due to expected heat I chose today a tour mostly in shade. From Zadnjica over Komar below Dolič, crossing Kanjavec ledges to Prehodavci and back to Zadnjica. Trail very nice - first steep up Komar, then enjoyment on ledges and routine descent to Zadnjica. No problems on trail, snow patch at start not problematic. Recommend for hot days, with slow pace took almost 10 hours.
morning view on Jalovec1
Path across Komar - nicely secured and marked2
Snow patch at the start of the ledges3
A bit of flowers4
Darinka already noticed this rock, there is a lot of scree and rocks on the path - consequences of a proper winter.5

Janez, did you also visit Vršac? I mean, if it was 10 hours together with him?

Vršac is just like turning off to the parking on the way, it takes a couple of minutes

Ločanka - no I didn't go, it was so hot and I preferred a quick turn to Prehodavci for beer. I didn't rush the whole trail, that's why it took 10 hours (incl. break at Prehodavci).

For me Vodnikov Vršac always takes a whole hour or more zadrega You really have pumped calf stopwatches up in the hills.

Well, you can't get through here without proper crampons and ice axe (and of course knowledge) for now.

6. 8. 2019, From Zadnjica over Kanjavčeve police and circularly over Prehodavci to saddle Dol and back to the starting point in Zadnjica. Just as we sat in the vehicle a little before 18:00, it started raining harder. At the beginning of the entry to the path over the shelves there is still a small snow patch. Over the shelves it is dry. Quite eroded. And you have to be careful on the path. There are few fixed cables. On one part of the path a peg is pulled out. We didn't meet almost anyone the whole way. There was also no crowd on the mulattiera and at the parking lot in Zadnjica. Still quite a long tour. It accumulated about 1800m of elevation gain and 22 km.

The elevation data on such a nice tour really shouldn't matter, but anyway... I've noticed that quite a few contributors on hribi.net greatly exaggerate these numbers, or their watches show wrong, and because of citing these wrong data they can deter many people from the tour. 300 m up or down isn't the same for many. I added the ascent to Vršac to the mentioned tour, but it didn't accumulate more than 1500 m... !
