So on the marked trail, there under Vršaki or the Vrata path - junction to the lakes path there is no more snow, because I would go with my younger son?

Thanks. Under Vršaki there is still a several-meter snowfield of softened snow, with embedded footprints of predecessors.

Hi, does anyone plan on Tuesday to Kanjavec from pl Blato? In case I go alone, just for 100% asking if from Vratc onwards to the top it's visibly marked?
I hike normal pace (if someone would join)

The weather just won't spoil, so I'm forced to go from home A bit skeptical, I drive to Krma, since from forum reports I figured that on Sunday no one would bother about the closure. 'Courage' paid off, as I again spent a wonderful day in nature. Some parked cars already reassured me, road in incredibly good condition. Quarter to seven with fairly light backpack I start with quick steps into my magical world. At Vodnik hut in a blink, temperature with light fogs just right. I change shirts, drink tea and to Velska dolina, which I now have in my little finger. Well below Kanjavec Zob I leave the path, and reach it again via steep pathless terrain, which comes from Dolič. At Hribarice no stop, no need, as 'Rogla' I have some reserve. To summit three minutes longer than last time to Mrzla gora. Warm, no wind, in the distance quite a few fogs not intending to clear. Mostly alone I dry all clothes and decide, this time I must also go to Šmarjetna glava, as planned last year. Because of shirt (and water) I had to go back to Velska dolina, else descend via Planika and Konjsko sedlo. In Krma happy no ticket, at Dani too, as young guy recognized me from old joint climb on 'Slovenska'. I nothing

Kanjavec winter tour. Hard to be nicer, yesterday was the icing on the cake. Urban spotted the title on the snowman and messaged me on Sunday that we add the icing on the cake.
Early start added to this winter day that there wasn't one negative thing on the whole tour. Sunday afternoon snow shower provided a couple cm of dry snow that erased old tracks.
From Kanjavec we skied towards Hribarice and into Velska valley, we repeated Sedlo Hribarice so it wouldn't end too soon enjoyment. Under Draški vrh we ski to just below Mala Polje 1300m a.s.l..

A year has passed and a promise is a debt. Although a bit skeptical about the return, I reserved five hours for it so the knee wouldn't complain. In morning twilight I start from full parking, to not stumble too much I turn on headlamp for about twenty minutes. Since I'm not too slow I wonder that I overtook so few people (2) to Mala Polje, where I turn off the Triglav highway, when so many cars were parked. Bohinjska vrata and Vodnik hut, where I quench thirst and change, I leave quickly. I exchange a few words with a lady heading to Triglav. Through Velska valley again pure enjoyment, I leave the path to Dolič at 2100m, where I head straight up the slope. At Hribarici warm 'summer' sun tempts me for a minute rest, as I have just over 200m elevation to summit.
Up top I take a whole hour, there are quite some people, but none from my direction, as pleasant warmth in calm with good visibility holds us there. Descent unfortunately same way, as it's closest. At Vodnik the mentioned lady surprises me, who just returned from daddy too. If we had arranged, it wouldn't be so close to time zero. To Vratca still warmed by sun and short steep, then into cold shade that didn't leave me. Cars at parking much fewer than morning, nice road to Dani for a beer and another Kanjavec will stay warmly in memory...

Maybe this report will encourage someone to go above the all-day fog...
Predecessor supported the description with rich gallery of photos, part taken in ascent and descent direction, summit pics are always interesting of course. Each of the offered access options to the picturesque Kanjavec summit, described on hribi.net, requires almost 6 hours, which with November day length dictates that part of hike with light. With son we completed 100 years this year and younger third doesn't need to strain much, older two thirds though... For the path from Blato pasture over Vrata pass with stop at Zelnarica it took us 5 hours, as conditions these days ideal. Not hot nor cold. At summit we met friendly female hiker, only person on whole path. Rest was welcome, but path still long. Mišeljska valley path unknown to us and discovering passages downhill seemed a bit uncertain. Longer path to Velo polje and climb 300m to Jezerski pass still in daylight. Already on way to Krstenica light helpful, to Blato necessary.

Maybe a tip for descent next time: over Hribaric summit and along Škednjovcu down, where you join Vodnikova hut - Laz path. No extra ascent then.

...or take my path, as that little ascent from Vodnik to vratc isn't that bad, and you don't burden Bohinjci with usurious parking fee...
