Regarding the path to Rinke, I'd say the initial part from Mrzli dol is one of the nicest marked paths around there, but true, protections are quite worn and it would be nice to pull some new cable and hammer new pegs, wouldn't hurt! Celjani.... velik nasmeh

But the path from Ledine to Rinke is the best hiking path this year and it would be strange if officially closed, as such title invites people. Somewhere in my head it echoes it's closed, but not sure. nasmeh

This path from Ledine is supposed to be renovated this year. Before that, it was officially abandoned, if I am not mistaken.

@zokipoki, yes it is the "best" mountain path, but this title brings money to the society for renovating the mountain path. The sponsor is Triglav insurance. A bit against logic but it has a broader (hidden) meaning. I don't know if you follow, but there are more and more closed mountain paths and fewer and fewer people who decide to do markacist work. This action wants to motivate people to become markacists. Personally, I think markacists are no longer the solution and that PZS is not aware of the seriousness of this problem at all.
It is true that PZS recently received a large sum of money for markacists: https://www.pzs.si/novice.php?pid=14999 but I am worried about where this money will go.

The path wasn't abandoned, but closed since 2018. All info on PZS. They will start renovating it next weekend, so it will be renovated by September if there is no bad weather.

PZS is money laundering and nothing else. Where the money goes yes into pockets of individuals of course. It is a shame that most main paths to peaks are closed and in mid-season. Some can do all they like even in TNP (placing anything in nature), others would be strictly punished even for trifles. As far as I am concerned the path to Rinke can stay as it is, without repairs, somehow pristine.

Path from Jezersko side is closed, no one asks what about path from Mrzli dol?
On this path, in my opinion there are more damages to cables and pegs than on Jezersko side.
On Jezersko side the exit gully seems dubious to me, which was in 2008 (photo) in even worse condition than now! Everything else is appropriate for the mark: VERY DIFFICULT PATH (as it is also declared). Whoever sets out on a very difficult path should expect some trouble on the path.
The self-belay kit does not solve any problem that you encounter on a path that is declared as such!

On 31.7. I was on the climbing path from Mrzli dol. Don't know, what is the problem geppo? To me it seemed bp.

does anyone know if the path has been renovated yet?
If not, how problematic is it, can one get through nicely with some experience and caution?

Primm, the path is not tidied up at all, but if you're used to scree, occasionally pulled-out pegs, you can go up without major problems. For descent, better via Turski gully.

Kor.Rinka via Turski gully (14.04.22)

After work to Logarska and there'd be nothing wrong with starting the hike in shorts. In three days snow has melted all the way to the source of Savinja, here I change shoes. Even if there was ski track it would be unusable, the sun melted it a few days ago. Afternoon ascent would be impossible for a hiker, with skis somehow still okay. Halfway up the gully I strap them to the backpack. The gully is nicely filled almost to the top and without stones (at least for now!). At Mali Rinka I stop and leave the skis, continue to Koroška Rinka. A pro would say it's "perfect conditions" for skiing on this base, I say pretty good.

Morning in Logarska pleasant freshness, peaks shrouded in mists. Rinka waterfall still working, source barely anything left. Last year with son on 13.8. crossed snowfield under Prag, today no trace of snow. Rock, iron cold, almost numbed my fingers. On Savinja side cables still in the same state as last year. Some pulled-out pegs and torn cables, no special problems.
When we cross to the other side, sun appears briefly. Mists soon cover it. Path in the last section before Koroška Rinka summit nicely tidied. New cables, pegs and cleaned rock face that previously just waited to crash on someone's head. Summit in mist and a few visitors. I descend towards Štajerska Rinka, others continue to Krajnska. One participant visits all three Rinke, continues to Turska, Kotliče, Brana to Kamniško sedlo. Before descent into gully two "hikers" rush from Turska gora. Greet in English and descend into gully. Before descending I get into conversation with a guy who just climbed out of the gully. About 15 min behind them I descend into gully myself. Surprised to spot them only at first cables. At the end of them I catch up. Notice they're not used to the path's difficulty and then we continue slowly together. Visibly relieved when we descend the iron ladder from the wall. Sincerely thank me for moral support on descent. Show them where to continue to Okrešlj, I wait for mates whom I already hear in gully.
Together descend to Okrešlj, wait for mate returning from Kamniško sedlo and after just under 9 hours finish our trip.
