Forenoon at least uphill to these peaks even without crampons is no major problem, of course it's much easier with that aid, since there is quite a bit of frozen icy snow on the path. If going from Markova raven, continuous snow more or less starts somewhere at that trough, 20 min before planina Koren.

How about avalanches in that area in the last 10 years? Some family acquaintances were buried by an avalanche there decades ago and consequently that's why there's that chapel on Košutna.

Currently 1 everywhere, at higher danger level, steep terrains and of course dangerous. Last year a massive ground avalanche came to the valley bottom and buried the road (maybe even carried away?) some 40-50m long.

From that mega avalanche last year only some traces remain by the road. Road is OK. On the path towards planina Koren you cross two or three avalanches that "fly" over the path every year. End of last week they were all normally passable, as the terrain had already fully stabilized.

Today to Kompotela and Vrh Korena from planina Jezerca, past planina Koren. Path tracked, I didn't put on crampons, although take them for safety (especially for descent). Weather gorgeous, little wind (nothing serious) almost no people.

On Saturday 23.4. Up to planina Koren dry, further completely wintery. There is a track, but obviously no crowds here in recent days. Snow crusty and sinks in places. I went only to Vrh Korena, but saw that the track is made also towards Kompotela.

Hello!
Since I plan to do the route Markova Raven - Mokriška jama - Mokrica - Kompotela and back to the valley along the marked path next week, I'm curious about snow conditions if I go to Košutna and via the secured section to Planina Koren.
Is there still snow and can it be done without winter gear.

When walking the Jež ridge on 28.7., below us above Dolga njiva we saw a scene that doesn't belong in our mountains and is probably prohibited. Look and tell.

Last time I parked at Planina Jezerca and noticed on the machine also the option "access to Krvavec". Asphalt road goes all the way to Plaža. I'm wondering, is this access option (if you're willing to pay an extra 5 EUR) intended for everyone?
