Part of the road between lower cable car station and bridge over K. Bistric was washed away in last floods. No car access, but can go on foot.

Yesterday via Planina Koren to Kompotela and back.
The parking lot for 5 EUR at Jezerci was full. A little snow at the start, but enough for numerous ski tourers. At the fence above Korošica, the track narrowed, the snow was dry, no problems to Planina Koren and beyond. From the junction for Vrh Korena, only a snowshoe track led to Kompotela. I had already met the author lower down, we chatted friendly for a bit.
Walking in snowshoe footsteps wasn't the most pleasant. Where the track went over the snow surface, I broke through the crust up to my knees or more. Out of breath, a couple caught up with me in my footsteps and took over the trailbreaking. Before the last steep part, two spry young chamois of the younger generation jumped up, who voluntarily plowed the track to the top like first in line. Then we were all up one-two-three suddenly. Sometimes we called this "strength in unity.." .
It was blowing a bit, also cold, but the views were unforgettable. We chatted with those young ones about some interesting things, it was really pleasant, although my feet were freezing. I stayed a bit longer, and a bit more... And finally witnessed an amazing play of nature, as long evening shadows danced with yellow and scarlet sun rays.
The soul, restless to its deepest depths, got its required dose. Descending in the dark wasn't hard at all.
Note: A comfortable track led to Vrh Korena, but not to Košutna. Maybe different today.

Today to Vrh Korena and Kompotela. Path well trodden. No sign anyone went to Košutna. From Korena two tried via Jež towards Zvoh but soon turned back. Big respect to all who broke trail first.
