2 enjoyable ridges Kreda-Slatna-Vogli and Zelnarici-Kopica-Tičarici
An idea that somehow never got its turn has finally become flesh from words. Before departure, I analytically delved only into a bit of the ramble, namely how to find the most direct ridge approach to Kreda. Succeeded. Where on the path from Dedno polje towards Lazu possible crossings are felt and gray rocky flecks are seen, before that a narrow gravel strip reaches into the forest where grass grows, I headed steeply left upward (from pic 1 to the pre-imagined junction ca. 15-20 min). Already a few meters after turning, I saw a transverse pathlet or game trail, more of which followed. After initially very steep terrain, the world flattened somewhat. I sought passages through brush and used the map to roughly stick to the planned line. Once I let myself be led by a game trail right upward, it led me to a romantic promontory above which sadly only brush plantations were visible. Again I directed left and, seeking passages, hit something that looked more than just a game trail. I somehow followed this one, which occasionally disappeared. It led to a grassy patch I had eyed at home, and at its upper end, stepping into brush again, I spotted even sawn branches. Hmm, obviously right at the ridge edge there once ran a pathlet. If the lower part needed testing how to sway on brush branches under Kreda, here acrobatics were impossible as the brush is much stiffer. Thus, despite old clippings, sometimes harder to break through from one side to the other, but the pathlet is still very decent and progress is not unpleasant. Views are divine.
From Kreda continued to Slatna occupied by dozens of ravens. Near summit detected stench, looked away from decaying small game carcasses. On saddle to Vogli bypassed last decaying corpse in big arc and quickly up to Prvi and Srednji Vogel, then unnamed peak and already on last Vogli, from which descended over spot 2309. From Vrat continued few dozen meters on marked path, then right and via slope to summit Velika Zelnarica, from there to Mala and further along ridge to Kopica. Descent from M. Zelnarice to notch tediously clogged and steep. Can't afford a fall, as could land on scree in valley 7J. From Kopica continue on path to V. Tičarici. From its summit the little ridge to M. Tičarici inviting, but knees no longer best disposed, so descend to marked path and up to Mala Tičarica via V slope to reach mentioned little ridge almost at hill top. Descend toward Štapec and end tour with return over planina Ovčarija.
