Is it sinking badly? Or can you go up without skis, or snowshoes? Thanksnasmeh

The path from the parking lot to Kredarica is frozen; since the snow is dry, it crumbles slightly. With crampons we walked only the steep parts for safety. Conditions are super - recommend.

Silence, where did you start?
Did you go from Krma?
I'm curious about what the road to there is like?
Thanks for the replynasmeh

We went from Krma around 7 a.m. At the parking lot there were already 15 cars. The road goes all the way to the end to the wooden barrier. It's good if you don't have a low car. The track in the lower part is icy and about 15 cm deep. Towards the end of the valley there is frozen snow and no problems with winter tires.

Of course you can go to Kredarica without crampons, just you use much more energy because you "dig". nasmeh

I'm curious if the road to Krma is drivable to Kovinarska hut, or further, and how much snow there is, or if you can ski from Kredarica.

Here are some pics from Saturday's attack on Kredarica. It was very nice, only windy at the top, otherwise all OK.

I'm average.. honestly "weekend hiker". One of those who hasn't stood on Triglav yet but surely that wish is buzzing in my head. Interested in the most suitable or "easiest route" to Triglav, which I plan to do in summer or early autumn days.. Thanks!

The easiest is the approach from Rudno polje past Vodnikov dom on Velem polju and then past Planika to the top. On this route you overcome the least elevation gain. A suitable route is also from Krma over Konjski preval and then past Planika.

Towards the summit crampons and ice axe obligatory4
Nothing to add5
We also fed the ptarmigans6
Last look at the chapel and descent to the valley which was quite difficult due to southern snow in the upper part7
In the lower part however frozen8

This looks pretty good. What's the ridge path like, is it icy?
like
zamet1. 03. 2008 17:59:55
G. Klin, the ridge is completely OK; there is snow but it's not icy, it's hard because it's very trampled, of course mandatory crampons and ice axe. Well, that was this week; now the weather has changed and so have the conditions, but it depends on precipitation.

Nice greeting! Has anyone maybe been to Kredarica via Krma in the last 2-3 days? nasmeh

So all weekend and non-weekend hikers: personally I think Triglav in summer is quite risky without a helmet. Due to the big crowds, stones fly cheerfully into the valley (mostly I think from Planika up). In spring too, stones fly as it thaws. So helmet mandatory.

Only daddy? I think everyone going to the high mountains should wear a helmet.
Helmet wearing will slowly "catch on"; we didn't use trekking poles 30 years ago either!

Hi!
I'm interested in what's the path from Krma to Kredarica if someone knows... possible without crampons? From 30.4.-3.5. I'll be in Kranjska Gora, interested in peaks reachable without crampons and ice axe... maybe Mala Mojstrovka? Slemenova Špica? Thanks for answers and nice greeting! Gašper

Road to Krma is drivable!
From there on, everything depends on your experience in such changing conditions!
And on equipment of course; without snowshoes in current conditions you won't reach the goal! Crampons are mandatory winter gear anyway, whether you need them or not, and don't forget the ice axe!
PS: Mala Mojstrovka and Slemenova Špica at this time of year and in current conditions are not reachable without crampons and ice axe!

Nice greeting and many nice moments in the mountains nasmeh
