In pic 4, back there is probably Peca, on the left Olševa is slightly visible. Nice areas. Winter and summer.

I always gladly return to these areas, mainly due to the pristine nature. @geppo Belšekova pl. was overgrown years ago, you could reach it via the hunter path through the forest (no views). Now a road/track leads there. I like it even more that way, you walk like on a wide path, with views to the east opening up in between. The road is incredibly steep, I really admire that feat. Of course, it all depends on what you are looking for. If anyone is interested, you can find my description for Križevnik (summer variant) in the trips search.

Thanks Matic! If I looked at the summer description right, you go to the edge of the plateau via the same gully also in winter, just sticking to the gully from start to end?

@zokipoki, you go up the same gully. In the lower part when dry the gully is overgrown, so go right beside it through the forest to the walls and then left into the gully. Now in winter it seems the gully is filled from bottom to top, that's just optical, under the snow many things hide. I go the same: first right beside the gully through the forest and higher into the gully. Now all [is] more visible.

Today I planned to go in Matic's tracks to Križevnik, but I got tangled in the chutes and when I spotted the mighty Turnce wall above me, I knew that my path today would turn completely different. First I tackled the slope under Turnce and climbed to a nice cavity under the walls. The cavity offers a good resting place for chamois, as it is large enough to hide a whole herd in it, and the view from there is wonderful. I descended steeply eastwards towards the ravine that falls between the Turnce ridge and the ridge along which I should have gone to reach the Bevski bivouac. When I had descended enough to safely cross the ravine, I continued steeply onto the ridge. I searched for passages and crossed the steepness to the upper part of the steep chute leading to the bivouac. Tracks in the snow on the chute, probably Matic's, told me that I was probably right where I should have been an hour ago. Soon a nice view opened up towards Turnce and Olševa in the background. When I reached the top of the chute, I checked the entry into the gully, which due to circumstances will have to wait, no problem. The view of the Bevski bivouac is sad. Past the crumbling shack I set off searching for the path that would take me back to the valley and immediately came upon a cairn that directs me to the descent, after which I stop at the exposed traverse that geppo mentions. Wet, clogged with leaves! I take two breaths, think it over, doubt and return to the nice viewpoint where I sit for a bit. I had a good signal, so I make an emergency call. Geppo tells me that this traverse is 50 to 100m long, but really demanding. OK! Thanks! I gather my fears and start the traverse. I rely on poles, grab roots and here and there come upon a solid hold. Rocks crumble and fly into the almost vertical world below me. Step by step, slowly and above all carefully, I manage to reach the walls in front of me, about 30m. It's not over yet. Follows an extremely demanding descent and another narrow traverse filled with leaves to the right. I look under my feet and at the same time ahead into the world promising the end of troubles. As if I weren't there, so cemented in the present moment I was. I don't remember when I last descended such difficult terrain and when I spotted a cairn ahead and the chute below, I almost screamed with joy! I'd drink a beer! Good luck!

Križevnik 1.5.2021 With car up to penultimate sharp left turn, circa 20min walk to pl. Ravne, mostly on snowy road. From Ravne to junction for Polšak still well trodden, further occasional ski track and melted step, sank nicely. From pl. Polšak to saddle tracks lost, snow wet, slushy. Upper part of path on ridge partly clear. Ridge gave shelter, clouds swirling around and sun showed spring power at times. Still lots of snow.

Has anyone been to Križevnik or across Dleskovska planota these days? How much snow left? Road to pl. Ravne clear?

This is how Dleskovska planota looked on 28.5 from Veliki vrh, probably still lots of snow on the plateau, road to pl. Ravne clear though, lp
