No horizon is so wonderful that a person wouldn't get tired of it. The intention was to walk all three Golaks. From Predmeja. On asphalt road. Then the path joins the one from Tiha dolina. There at the clearing we go a bit right. On unmarked path. Which leads to the saddle. Where is the junction for Tavelik Golak, Srednji and straight to Vojsko. We decide for Velik Golak. Path known. Looks like not many people go up here. Everything decorated by the snowfall from the previous day. We descend and continue to Srednji Golak. Here markings help all the way to Mali Golak, where we meet some Friday hikers. We descend to the hut under Golaki and along the road for some time. Then on the ascent path to the starting point. About 10 km of walking accumulated. It wasn't too cold either. At most minus two degrees. And wind just a trace. No trace of bears either. (15.12.2023)

Here all the snow has fallen off the trees.

Yesterday on Trstelj in short sleeves, today in puffy jacket and gloves -+2 below the top a little before noon in the wind. Access to V Golak from behind still patchy snow, which poses no obstacle. Over sr Golak, across Mali to the hut and past Uscana skala back to start at Predmeji

This morning hop from Predmeja to Mali Golak, initially on plowed side road, when you get to the end of the weekend cottages, had to start trudging a bit. Under Suhim hribom, the path later joins the marked path leading to Mali Golak, return past Iztok's hut under Golaki and the last part along the road to the starting point.

Quite a lot of snow for export nasmeh

Otherwise the marked path is very trodden, but in some places already a bit smooth - so need to be quite attentive, some had small crampons with them.

It snowed just in time. For the annual winter hike to Mali Golak, which was yesterday 16. 2. 2025. There were many of us on the path from Tiha Dolina. We started hiking at nine o'clock. With a speech. In memory of the late Peter Likar they named the winter hike. There was plenty of snow on the path. The wind was the companion. But far from being as gale-force as on Saturday on Nanos. Lowest temperature was minus 10 degrees. I remember on the last part to the top it was quite cold. We descended to the hut. Then part of the path on the road and turned to the trail to Tiha Dolina.

We stepped on the first snow of this year in our area right in Tiha dolina. The snow cover thickness increases to Veliki so much that with weight on the drifts it well covers the already narrow trails and passages and so it is to Mali Golak. We did the descent somewhere in direction over korenina but we went all the way to the forest road and then nicely rounded off a nice morning nasmeh

Tiha dolina - Mali Golak. Conditions this afternoon when Maksij and I started hiking. There is snow on the path. Summit is bare. Didn't need gloves. No crampons either, because the snow is soft and the walking, even the descent, is really pleasant. Very few hikers in the afternoon. Views like this.
