Yesterday, on Sunday, there was the traditional hike to Mali Golak. Many hikers joined it in nice sunny and warm weather. At the summit it was really summery. No wind.

Hi Darinka, we were also yesterday on the Golaks and the weather was wonderful without a breeze on top, sunny and view to the Dolomites, looks like we were earlier and there was no crowd on the summit yet. Best regards

The annual hike organized by pl. dr. Valentin Stanič from Kanal and Gora society started at nine with a walk from Tiha Dolina. First time I was with them. Many of us were with them on Golak. Despite large number of hikers no problems. Really nice. nasmeh

Today with PD Medvode to Mali Golak. Start in Predmeja. Somewhere in between snow starts. Path is slightly icy. Goes without crampons, but recommended. Unfortunately the summit of Mali Golak was in fog and cold wind blew, so we quickly headed down to Iztok hut. For down to the hut crampons almost necessary. Path is icy. Hut is of course open. Down we went of course by different path than up, because no other way.

Interested in how much time a medium-category hiker would need for the following route: Hubelj spring - Otliško okno - Otlica - Predmeja - Iztok hut - Golak - Iztok hut - Dom A. Bavčar - Predmeja - Otlica - Hubelj spring

To Mali Golak from Mala Lazna. Below the summit there's still some small snow on the path, which was frozen in the morning, otherwise no special features on the path. The view due to haze so-so, no wind thoughnasmeh

probably currently the highest peak in Slovenia without a snow cap.

Mali Golak today in the sun and pleasant wind. Views gloomy though. Only Triglav was visible. Not too many hikers.

No news from this viewpoint for half a yearmrk pogled
First hand: weather ideal, views from-to, path from hut to summit - rocks/snow/ice. Recommend cramponsmežikanje
Up the steep path, down the gentle one; junction not well marked. When descending somewhere in the second part of the path, notice marks to the right and it's trodden that way too. Then nicely in switchbacks safely without ice to the hut.

Yesterday in beautiful weather to Mali Golak. Start-Predmeja. Return via Iztokova hut under Golaks. From hut onwards to summit some snow on path. Crampons sufficient now. Almost no wind on top. Views to Triglav and sea. Nice mountaineer's greeting.

Sunday traditional winter hike to Mali Golak. Quite a good turnout. Day really nice, sunny. Somewhat windy. And use of small crampons where the path was icy in places.

We started and finished in Tiha valley. To the junction with the path from Iztok hut, plenty of solitude and silence, no wonder I often thought about bears. Bora was blowing above us, so it was a pleasure to walk through a fairytale forest in several dozen shades of green. On the summit quite a few of us, four-legged slightly fewer than two-legged, all nicely spaced so we didn't get in each other's way and break the rules. Weather gorgeous, feeling clear, views plenty too. Very nice nasmeh
