Hello, tomorrow I plan to go to Golak, and I'm wondering if there's any snow on the path.

Thanks!

Today we did a circular route from Predmeja (sports field). Huge amount of snow on the path, but trampled, over Tiha Valley a bit less, but doable without issues.

The Golaks yesterday were not even such a bad choice. We started through T valley over rootstock to clearing, there right a bit our own direct to V Golak then along the ridge to Srednji and over Mali to the hut. The fear that we'd trample on the road back proved unfounded, as you walk on snow all the way to Predmeja. Road (state)zavijanje z očmi Lokve-Predmeja is snowed over more than a meter deep and obviously it will stay that way until the one who put it there removes it.

First May easy but rainy tour today to Mali Golak. Only half an hour walked without rain and a few dozen minutes at top waited to look around. Heavy dark clouds racing when I was at top. And fine hail falling between rain. Like April. But already May. Did circular tour and descended past hut closed weekdays to start. Thundered a few times more walking in forest. No one anywhere. No snow anymore. Think how much there was this year. Melted fast.
The sign needs to be renewed.1

Here I am still dry. Soon it will start raining.3
Forget-me-nots along the path4
At the top I wait a bit for the rain to stop.5
And the sky hears me.6
It gives me ten minutes, no more.7
Clouds are gathering.8
That's how Golak looks during the day in the rain.9
It's also getting cold.10
You can see it's a popular peak on weekends.11
Some don't know how to carry empty bottles down to the valley.12
There are quite a few at the summit.13
Heading towards the hut.14
I wait there a bit longer because it's raining heavily.15
Along the road towards home, field of wheat and poppies.16

Today I was on Mali Golak and at the hut, but nowhere did I find the SPP stamp? I assume it's stored in the hut, but what's the point then if someone does SPP during the week, how do they get the stamp?

A beginner on the Slovenian Mountain Trail systematically acquires mountaineering and hiking knowledge, skills and experience. When they complete the entire trail, they are already an experienced, knowledgeable hiker with strengthened spiritual values that such a trail gives, shapes and preserves. The Slovenian Mountain Trail is thus not intended merely for collecting stamps, as its creator already pointed out: "Friend, walk slowly! You can really do the traverse in one month, but rather walk five years. Then you'll get more from it, much, much more. The honorary badge will wait for you!" copied

That's true, but it has nothing to do with this. The SPP stamp must be at an accessible place every day, not just when the hut is open - if it's even in the hut..? I've been to Golak at least 30x in a few years, even before I started collecting SPP stamps, so I already have a lot from it and the stamp isn't that important to me, but I'd still like to have it in my "collection". So, I still don't know where the SPP stamp is on Mali Golak? zmedenvelik nasmeh

At the top it has always been on the rock where you sign the book, in the hut it has also always been, now with new owners I don't know.

Klemen, the stamp on Mali Golak is attached to the rock, as ajax and Enka already mentioned. Summits where there is no hut on top have stamps attached to rocks or to metal rods, triangular shape. In mountain huts it's oval shape. That's the differencejezik.
SAFE STEP TO ALL FURTHER

Really? I didn't know.. I saw it on the rock, but it's just a sign and the name Mali Golak (no SPP writing) so I didn't know if it's the right one. And to stamp you need ink with you too, otherwise it's dry.. velik nasmeh Thanks for the info, I'll know for next time I go up. nasmeh

After six years we repeat our family trip to Primorska, but this time we have one more member, our four-year-oldnasmeh.
After a long drive comes snack at the hut on Čavnu, then ascent from Strgarija pass to Mali Golak, on the way back also visit to Sinji vrh and Javornik.
All paths are nicely marked, lots of visits to SPP points, gorgeous weather and very varied offer at all huts. On Sinji vrh we licked our fingers over cheese tart, walnut štruklji and chocolate tart with forest fruits, price per piece 4 €, coffee with milk 1.3 €. But at 15 o'clock the lady already told us that almost all other food is running out and it's good to order food a day before.

Mali Golak on 24.10. was basking in the sun. Almost no wind. And 16 degrees at 14 o'clock showed the thermometer below the summit. Didn't meet anyone. Lots of leaves on the path, as they have already fallen from the beeches.
Golak is a really nice afternoon hike.1
But I didn't think it would be so beautiful.2
I expected wind, since it blows here quite often3
but on the summit only a light breeze and warm.4
