Impossible to write regulations for every single thing....And even where regulations exist, as you just gave the example of roads (which can't be compared to mountain paths)...Just look at how many bad, unmaintained, wretched and consequently dangerous and vehicle-destroying roads there are around. Dimio where you'd have regulations. The above sentence suffices "if it becomes dangerous...." Then it's just a matter of common sense, logic, reason and yes PEOPLE, LABOR FORCE who fix the issue. In unity is strength, and I don't know why they don't ask others for help too.

Yes the path is already sufficiently exposed and consequently dangerous, but having to duck over or under fallen trees that have been down at least five years and will obviously rot before the caretakers of that path manage to saw them through.

I think PZS, when/if it gets notification of damaged/impassable mountain path or obstacle on mountain path should immediately intervene with the maintainer of that mountain path, to immediately repair the path or close it until final repair.

panda Read all posts on this topic. You'll read that PZS was informed by me about the condition of the path over Komarča already a year ago. Best regards.

GOOD-HEARTED ADVICE: If you do solo actions, don't expose yourself publicly. Because when something goes wrong, you'll be the only one guilty. Unfortunately the current spirit of the times is like that. Lawyers and paragraphs, not healthy peasant logic. Concrete example above Savinja valley. On a short exposed section of marked trail a female hiker slipped and was killed. Relatives wanted to install a steel cable on those few meters. At their own expense and by themselves. But the trail manager said NO. One would understand: "OK, but under our conditions and supervision."

GB: In accordance with Article 16 of the Alpine Paths Act (Official Gazette of RS, no. 61/2007), the Alpine Association of Slovenia and the Alpine Club Ljubljana-Matica wish to inform you that until further notice the section of the marked trail Koča pri Savici (653 m)–Komarča–Črno jezero (1324 m) will be CLOSED. Mountain hikers are kindly asked to adhere strictly to the closure of the marked trail and not to use it, because otherwise they could jeopardize their safety. Thank you for your understanding. Other possible approaches to Črno jezero: from Komna or from Planina Viševnik

Mountains have taken their toll. I remember his post when I was on Krn on the last day of the year last year. Here Darinka has finally concluded the year on Krn. And a happy one, even if we don't see each other next year. Janez Novak, rest in peace where there is no pain and suffering, humble as you were.

I first met Janez years ago on Ciprnik, last time last month on Zelenica, when he was going to Palec. Both times he was full of positive energy, and his conversation stayed in my memory... Sincere condolences to the family.

I also have a nice memory of Janez. At the end of last year we met at the tower on Triglav. He was excited because it was his first winter ascent to the summit. Since then I have regularly followed his reports on the paths he walked, which he shared with us. Janez, rest in peace. Condolences to the family.

I'd rather say that they are just slips or slips into the abyss, the web of fate and fatigue, not only due to fitness and training; the heat contributes a lot in this time of year, temperatures that can exhaust the individual, and everyone is tuned differently to temperatures in the mountains. Carelessness can come very quickly if we don't go step by step with sense and concentration and listen to our inner guide, to how far we can go safely.

It's true, there are just many factors that affect the slip, as I noticed tourists go to the mountain in the greatest heat, the sun causes dehydration and exhaustion, of course depending on the individual's health; at night definitely in such steep terrain it is not good to hike down to the valley, which hikers do. Everyone knows what and how, challenging fate is not smart.

Primoza: I admire your feats, hats off. Nobody is always 100%, although everyone tries their best. If fate so wills it, you can be next too. Web of unfortunate circumstances and quickly something goes wrong. So don't be too self-confident.

Panda, true. Even the best mountain connoisseurs and fitness-pumped athletes are not immune to mistakes and so-called web of circumstances. Quite a few Hribi.net forum friends have already said goodbye. Sadly!
