After almost twenty years yesterday again to Mrežce. yeah, back then Mrežce was just one peak when crossing the whole ridge, now independent goal nasmeh

. But worth it, even though sun yesterday didn't know if to shine or hide. If you take it as is, always wonderful and so it was nasmeh

. Autumn colors decrease with height, but views increase nasmeh

.
Yesterday nice to observe background details between main peaks e.g. between Rjavina and Luknja peč visible to Škrlatica, between Luknja peč and Dimniki to Dovški križ. Good view also to Temen and world behind Pršivec, but no plane remains seen.

Hut yesterday not open, need to go up once more nasmeh

really an interesting puddle by the path

with altitude fewer and fewer glowing larches

Kredarica zoomed in and wind turbines there

like on the palm - from Viševnik across Draški vrhovi to Triglav

and when you stand right above the edge of Krma

when you peer into distant details among the main peaks

this wall of Rjavina with many gullies is interesting...if only one knew their names too

those really glowed, a bit above the hut

Yesterday my friend and I climbed from Rudno polje to Mrežce and Debeli vrh and skied down their slopes. We only saw tracks of touring skiers. Plenty of snow, excellent skiing.

Tomorrow I'd go to Mrežce from Planina Zajavornik. Been there before but never in winter, in snow. Is ice axe really needed for this ascent? What about snow? Probably some will fall today. Do you think it will be a problem for someone inexperienced to reach the summit in such conditions?

Katrca, for Mrežce no ice axe needed, crampons maybe mainly when descending to hut if icy. Checked camera at Blejska koča, snow just a sample, maybe more near summit, anyway tomorrow nice day for mountains per forecast. Blejska koča na Lipanci open now, new keeper up every day in winter Mon-Sun.

At the end of the year my friend and I went from Rudno polje to Mrežce, this time no skis. Too little snow for skiing unfortunately. Tour start minus five, end plus five. At Mrežce summit met some hikers, rest of path just us. Beautiful mountain day and tomorrow the same.

Sunday stroll. Then still "winter fairy tale", next days with thaw conditions change fast.

With winter tires to parking at Planina Javornik. Space for cca 14 cars. To hut in boots, then snowshoes. Path trampled, 40 cm powder.

At the starting point of the trip at Rudno polje it was windy, but already in the forest it was better. At Krucmanovih kontah a cold wind was blowing, then all the way to the upper slope of Mrežc we walked almost windless. On Mrežcah a female hiker photographed us, there were no others. Skiing from Mrežc was one of the best this year, followed by an ascent to Debeli vrh in the dance of the strong wind.
Skiing from the top again pure poetry to the forest, where there are already bare patches, but it's possible to ski to the forest road without removing the skis. At Krucmanovih kontah back into the forest and removing skis only at the car.
