Martin's Sunday!
First time in many years I spent Martinmas at home. Therefore, I was also able (the only one) for the Sunday hike to the mountains. After a long time, alone to Mrzlica. Fog in the valley (early morning) higher up sun was promised (and it was). I drove to Podmeja - parked and past the Hunters' hut to the top.
Foggy sea in the valley, higher sun! Very visited spot (mostly Zasavci - judging by dialect). Nice morning trip and maybe this week a bit higher....

No geppo you were a bit early with the hike to Mrzlica. Usually the most interesting is the night hike to Mrzlica, which they organize every year on the first Saturday in December, which this year is exactly December 6th on St. Nicholas, which will have special charm because this hike is already called "St. Nicholas Night Hike to Mrzlica". And also; it all starts around 4 pm and lasts late into the night, as people still hike to Mrzlica even at 11 pm. It's a beautiful prelude for the start of merry December.

I usually start the hike where you left your car. During the hike, the road to Mrzlica is also closed to all traffic.

Under events I noticed an article from Slovenj Gradec about the night hike to Mrzlica, which is supposed to be 5.12.2008 but I must warn you that the hike is planned for 6.12.2008.

No geppo, we both won. I have to admit the fog was very annoying and also icy road under the summit. Otherwise super. You could feel the merry December atmosphere.

On Sunday a walk to Mrzlica, specifically from Griška direction, where I left the car at the end of the asphalt, then along the road towards Kamnik, then at the junction left into the forest on the usual path to the summit. Back towards Kala, then back past Špajzer to the valley. Despite the frost, the sun greeted me here and there!

Well, today along with Kum I visited Mrzlica too where I saw a beautiful sunset.
Sadly, the phone ran out of battery and I couldn't take any sunset photos.

You know, that peak tormented me yesterday afternoon too. I mean I didn't know which one it was. Today I took time, checked peaks in this area and figured it could be Veliko Kozje peak (986m). Since it is higher than Lisca and roughly in line with Lisca.

Although there was fog in the valley, Mrzlica lured us again into its embrace anyway. We were rewarded with nice sunshine sparkling in a fairy-tale manner in the ivy of the trees and on the snowy fields; a great day that can end with a highlight, where else but in Čeče with good "breaded" chicken legs!

I too was headed to chicken legs in Čeče on Friday. Due to illness in >band< it was cancelled and is waiting for next week.
Nice that you praised the food for which this place is known far and wide.

Today the weather was ideal for a hike to Mrzlica. I went there from Matk, the view from the top wonderful. You could see everything to Triglav down to Snežnik and beautiful view of the Kamnik Alps. Very nice trip, highly recommend!
