On Saturday 16.1. we went to Mrzlica; fog in the valley, and up there wasn't much to see either, but still, here are the first pics of Mrzlica this year published... it's still pretty much the same as last year, brrr

200m before Podmeja from the Prebold side there is a junction towards Mrzlica. The sign says Mrzlica 4km. If you drive along this road and leave the car somewhere by the path, you can shorten it as you like. The road is widely plowed and you can park the car directly at several places! ]]>

; I just come from Prebold side, Marije Reke, then through curves almost to the top - Podmeja and as grinhorn wrote 200 m lower turn left (sign), car by the road, a bit higher weekend houses (first pic), where space for few cars or couple meters further; GREAT - come to our area, you won't regret  and best regards]]>

Hey, Geppo, on Saturday, 6.3., in the morning it was a bit sunnier. Since the snow has already been fully cleared in the valley, we were pretty surprised by the abundant snow blanket still covering it. Mrzlica didn't disappoint its name this time - cold and windy, so the expected "sunbathing" in front of the hut fell through. The road is snowy from the turnoff, but of course plowed, better to leave cars at Podmeja; otherwise wide trodden snow track to the hut, just a bit less to the tower at the top. Of course today's and tomorrow's snow will change conditions again.

Conditions today were like this:
The path from Podmeja is trampled between meter-deep drifts and beautiful nature. On the north side the snow is powdery and wet, on the south and west wet and heavy. Off track it sinks in and walking is tough.
