Today there was an incredible crowd on Mrzlica. I think that so far, except for St. Nicholas' hike, I haven't seen so many visitors.

This morning we went to Mrzlica from Podmeja. The path is nice, partially asphalted and not too steep. At the top it was already quite hot, and the hut had plenty of visitors.

Today I went to Mrzlica via a slightly different variant. Started from Šešči to Hom. From Hom down to the valley and from the valley to Kamnik. From Kamnik down to the valley again and to Mrzlica. The path is without special features, except leaves which are very annoying on steep descents. No pics today unfortunately, forgot the camera at home Walked good 6 hours. Best, Jure

Jure, first congrats for the good tour. Something interests me. Do you maybe know if there's some "pozajlana" path on Kamnik (secured climbing path). And if it exists by chance, where it starts. LP

hi, it exists, but not marked, because hunters don't allow it due to chamois having their "home" there, and locals say there are about 25 and they want to keep the path as is. The path is personally very nice to me, because you traverse the whole ridge of Kamnik, only one part is "pozajlan", but you need to know where and how, otherwise you get lost quickly, as Kamnik like other hills around is full of paths, roads, tracks,... Starts a bit further from Udovč bakery on road to Mrzlica, first right turn, road climbs a bit, park there and head to explore Kamnik, left into forest . In summer advise against Kamnik for hiking, tick hotspot. Nice hiking...

I also went a bit further from the Uduč shop this April, at the house that's been unfinished for some time turn sharply right and ahead to the barrier, there turn left and before the forest leave the car. Then straight into the forest a path or track leads, which you follow to the first hunting marks, they are yellow. From there on a bit by feel to get under the rock Best, Jure

First planned start Hrastnik, but due to light rain plan change, we drove to hamlet Goveji Potok. Past Miners' hut, well not exactly past..., over Kal to Mrzlica, morning fog so thick we stood 30m from hut and it wasn't visible yet, on return from Mrzlica occasionally sun rays broke through. Need to return on nice winter day with good views, very few today. LP!

Well, now quite some snow has fallen on Mrzlica. From Podmeja up to ankles, if you go straight from road to top up to knees. Otherwise snowy idyll

I went alone in the evening to Mrzlica, and I was shocked, boozing till exhaustion! Today I learn they found someone who froze! This is the first hike that ended in black scenario! Sorry for him! But on the other hand I'm angry cuz some have no limits!

Irina, at the first picture it's wrongly written that this is the terrace at Jagru. Actually it's the terrace of the hunting hut at Podmeji. Gostišče Jager is a bit lower by the road to Trbovlje. Zalas, where/from whom did you get the info that someone froze? Can't find info anywhere?

Majdicst, thanks for the heads up, I fixed the error right away. Thank God no one froze, a kid got lost though. Rescuers, dunno which, found him in time and "helicoptered" him. Good end all good. We heard this in the morning at the hunting hut.

@majdicst, this morning the online Delo reported (with a link to their Slovenske novice) about a lost child, in the last paragraph they wrote about someone with name and surname who they found dead - probably froze. By mid-morning that part of the text was gone.

Sad. And how can such small children go hiking without relatives, parents? As far as I know, no. Good that it ended well.
