Those (last year's) specimens are from Gorenjska. Here there are still very few of them for now. Chanterelles, of course, already enough.

Yes, regarding knowledge of mountain heights probably no one matches me, but I'd say that in the Dolenjska end in Loški potok, nice and abundant mushroom sites. Also near Sodražica in Notranjska or Godovič above Idrija, when there are, plenty. Pokljuka is plundered, but nice healthy specimens of Gorenjska boletes. A few years ago at this time after heavy rains we picked half a big bag along the path to Kofce, then gave them to the hut keeper who prepared excellent mushroom soup with potatoes in large ceramic plates - yum yum!

We haven't found many mushrooms this year either, but the nicest we stumbled upon like triglavski, on Pohorje and Smrekovec.

When I was sick and couldn't train I was mushrooming:

What specimens... Mine already threw those old gojzarje into the car for the compost. Bojan A, we heartily laughed at your "story in pictures"!

Maybe I should put a picture of the fly agaric in front of the pan. Today my kids raided the woods again for a dozen porcini. I don't eat mushrooms, but I like to photograph them.

I picked 120 kg of porcini and chanterelles a couple years ago. Last year 2/3 less....this year exceptionally few, well around 40 young porcini.

What, are you selling them? Well, I only got two half-wormy ones this year.

Yes, if I pick at least 10 kg of good ones. Otherwise I forgot to write up there "two" years I picked 120 kg.

This was a bit earlier - less than 2 hours mushrooming, with that, as we say: in the forest more pickers than mushrooms. Currently in our area it's quite varied.

Is it a saffron milkcap in the cup?? Lp

Not a cup but a container for eg salad.. It is saffron milkcap. Right now they are by chance quite healthy here (if too warm they get wormy fast).

I pick mushrooms but NEVER eat them.

Mate, when you try Karželj, which is purposely similar to fly agaric, you'll soon rethink it. This mushroom grows more often on the coast and is, by ratings, first-class in taste, the best mushroom!

Well, now we're at the karžels. Only for experts and for the clueless!!

Are they also in Gorenjska? I've been mushrooming for years -Karavanke, Mežakla, Pokljuka, but haven't encountered them at all. Apparently they know them well (better than us) in Bosnia.
