New Year's Eve in the mountains

Hello, I'm interested in New Year's Eve in our mountains. Can anyone advise: which huts are open, how about prior reservations, hut occupancy...
Thanks in advance for any answers. LPP

Some huts are open on Velika Planina. I only know that they are booked several years ahead and you get information at TIC Kamnik.

I know about New Year's Eve on Komna, apparently a good party there. But you need to reserve as soon as possible, as it's full every year.
And a nice entry into the new year (wherever it happens)

The Blejska hut on pl. Lipanci is also open for NY. Whoever comes - will be up.

What are the prices for NYE in mountains? And how are kids cared for? Nina

Have to watch kids, unless some hut has kindergarten!

What do you mean by "cared for kids"? Don't parents care for their kids?

I meant if there are kids' games or similar. Or just sit next to parents bored. Nina

We have good experiences with NYE in CŠODs (school and extracurricular centers). Not exactly mountains but usually remote Slovenian places, hills close, ski slope near. Needs more organization, opens for large groups to activate kitchen. Have playrooms, ski sledge rental... if larger group, recommend! Špela

The best New Year's Eve is a night hike to one of the Slovenian two-thousanders. This year, if conditions allow, let's head to Lanževica or something similar. Lots of ideas

Not recommended to take kids along if you're going to celebrate New Year's Eve in a hut. At least in some there's full crowd, plus alcohol and pretty loud until morning hours.

The new year is approaching ever closer, so we need to start thinking where and how to celebrate New Year's Eve. Those in the mountains have always been attractive, so I'm sure it will be the same this year too. So let's share suggestions for New Year's Eve and your wishes. Maybe a small group will gather here to spend the longest night together in one of the mountain huts.

Has anyone celebrated New Year's Eve at Komna? Information on how you enjoyed it would be welcome.

I'm going to a 1000 m high hill and watch fireworks from afar all around.
