I'm just curious about the approximate walking time from Krma to Kredarica, considering that now due to winter conditions hiking starts earlier? THANKS!

If from Dom Planika via Mali Triglav one reaches Aljaž Tower and descends to Dom Kredarica, I'm interested how much time is needed from Kredarica to Planika. What is the path like? I'm a mountaineer close to 60 years old. Thanks for the answer and asking for summer conditions.

I'm approximately the same age as you and in summer I hike like this: Planika - Triglav summit ca. 1 hour Triglav summit - Kredarica ca. 1 hour and Kredarica - Planika still ca. 1.5 hours With all stops (mainly at the top) it would total about 4 hours. Good luck. I too can hardly wait for summer!

From Kredarica to Planika from 45 minutes to 1 hour, the path is good.

First read the weather forecast, they forecast quite a lot of new snow and thus avalanche danger. If not for yourself, at least spare the mountain rescuers (me Good luck!

Hello! This year I too am a bit tempted to go and I'm also following the weather forecast. Of course I'm worried about avalanches mainly...

kobra 1 where did you see that forecast ; it should fall 5-10 cm (source: arso); the snow has settled well in recent days too

I also have the desire to go up if the weather conditions were solid.

Drejči don't look at inaccurate quasi forecasts. Better look at triglavski's real report from the Čisti vrh tour. Several avalanches from surrounding slopes were observed. I don't plan to sell my head at the market, let alone go there in three days...

Follow the weather yourselves and as it develops, whoever plans some New Year's Eve in high mountains, and realistically assess the situation and yourselves. Rescuers are people with families too and they don't need their New Year's Eve spiced up by an action from foolishness.

Just came back down. Conditions are currently super. The meteorologist at Kredarica says there's no avalanche danger at all, and it should be OK for New Year's Eve too. Yesterday the torrent flooded that road to Krma Valley, so need to find a detour on the side road, then you can drive almost to the end of the valley by car. LP

On 31.12.2009 I would join a group or an individual heading to Kredarica. According to the interest of meteorologists, conditions will be favorable.

If they really said good conditions for ascent to Kredarica, then don't mislead hikers. Approximate relevant data show right for New Year's Eve night, stronger snowfall. Attaching "Triglav" link http:/www.ilmetro.it/meteo-europa/Triglav?c=21359
