Last days of vacation and peak rose blooming in mountains lured us to Ogradi.
Via planina Laz to Lazovski preval, to Ogradi summit and along southern ridge back to Laz.
No problems on path.

Saturday was an ideal day for viewing larches on the pastures around Ogradi, pleasantly warm on the top, no jacket needed. After almost all nearby unmarked peaks (off-trail no longer for a long time) it was full of hikers.
Recently newly marked Laz-Krstenica path (not there last year), formerly abundant, now the Ogradi junction is also marked, so more people up there in the future.
Also, fog waterfalls from the south into Bohinj were nicely visible all day:

On Friday, 7.11.2013, on a nice, sunny and warm day I stepped into the forecourt of the beautifully snow-covered peaks above the Fužine pastures.
From planina Blato I climbed up to planina Krstenica and below Krsteniski and Jezerski Stog to the abandoned planina Jezerce. I continued on the lower path, along which I saw some faded marks, to the junction at the cairn, where I turned left onto the unmarked trail towards Lazovski preval.
From Lazovski preval followed the most demanding part of the path - ascent with some climbing along the steep and partly exposed ridge to the summit of the lightly snow-covered Ogradi.
Descent along the grassy slopes to planina V Lazu and by the shortest path to planina Blato. At the parking lot I met again the friendly hiker who had brought me from Stara Fužina in the morning, and joined him also on the way down to the valley. Thanks again. Otherwise I would have had another hour of walking in the dark.

The upper half of the path to Laz is still mostly in snow, further to Ogradi mostly dry.
The scree slopes of Ogradi are full of flowers, again couldn't avoid a snake zadrega

It's become a habit for us to visit Ogradi in May.
The weather wasn't favorable for photography, as it was a dull gray sky all morning. It cleared up when we returned to Planina Laz.
The path from Pl. Blato is mostly dry, rarely crossing a snow patch.
No snow problems towards Ogradi either. But we were surprised by the number of snakes. Four vipers were in one spot.
Given that it was windy all the way, it was completely calm at the top. We had a hard time heading back to the valley.
Stop in Laz, where marmots are already scurrying.
Nicely spent day:

Today over Krstenica to Ogradi.
Descent to Planina Laz and past Koča na Jezeru back to parking under Planina Blato.
Since it's a hunting path, the marks from Planina Blato to Krstenica have rightly disappeared.velik nasmeh Some orientation issues at Planina Laz when needing to head towards Planina pri Jezeru, otherwise no problems following the path.

Today on Ogradi.
Road to Planina Blato is dry, same to Planina Laz. Just occasional snow patches here and there.
Path to Ogradi is dry too. On ascent we ran into a real colony of vipers - counted six.
View from top shows still quite a bit of snow above 2000m. Especially in shady areas.
On return stopped at Planina Laz, surprised how much snow still to Planina Jezero. 2/3 of path under snow, and the path itself, where visible, wider every year zmeden
At Planina Jezero they were preparing to open the hut.

A year has passed and it was time to visit Ogradi.
This year completely dry. Southern slopes already clad in flowers, only one small viper this year.
Not many visitors. Happy we met Ločanka, chatted nicely with her.

yes, the nice meeting on the path to Ogradi pleased menasmeh
First though the longer path to Krstenica, which at this time is still completely quiet and peaceful in its beauty, then pleasant ascent to Ogradi, where you can't help but admire the close views from Debeleg vrh to Triglav, and more.
Return via Pl. Laz and at the end admiring the waterfall above the road.
