Pre-Christmas morning via Kopinškova to 2350m. Already under the traverse winter gear is necessary and all the way to the top. To Planjava, especially before the ascent to its roof, it is very snowy and hard. To the saddle above Wisiak there is still some hard snow to cross. Due to footsteps it is very icy. To Okrešelj and back to Dom Planincev.

Super super Dejan. But I don't get why in January for high mountains winter gear is emphasized so much and repeatedly where you can cross and where not  .
Here I don't mean Dejan personally but in general when I read stuff on this forum.

Last day of the year on an outing to the sunny side of the hills. Up Kocbek ridge, descent past football field. Snow barely encountered anywhere, a bit more wind than snow, temperatures enviably high

Ojstrica was quite strenuous today as snow was crusting due to warm weather. To Korošica it held, towards summit got really crusty. Last part before top mostly bare, advancing mixes rock and snow. Parked at bend where path from Planinšek exits forest to road. Road dry to there. Morning partly icy road could drive 200-300m more to wooden fence, there wheel tracks end. Not much crowd around, met two pairs touring skiers and four hikers.

On Saturday, Ostrica from Robanov kot and descent to Klemenča jama via Škarje.
Snow starts somehow after the first ladder after entering the secured part (5-10 min after waterfall). Mix of bare and snowy sections, snow not too hard. A bit higher, interesting variant off marked route up Robanova grapa, snow great there but need to find nice lines in avalanche chute. After about 20 min ascent, bare jump stops progress. Since I didn't know what was behind it, I crossed far right still on hard packed slope. After climbing by feel for a while, I joined the upper part of marked path. From there to Ostrica ridge so-so, sometimes hard, sometimes soft. Ridge from Mala Ostrica to main summit mostly bare. A few minutes after descent toward Škarje, snow soft in late morning hours. From Škarje to hut still OK.

Yes, weather changes quickly and nature with it. Today is much worse than yesterday, which I spent in mountain ambience. The little lakes in amphitheatre are gone, snow mostly melted, so from Presedljaj to Korošica only in gullies. Such washed-out path as Grega mentions, I saw only many years ago towards Zacchi hut. All day on path saw only two people (they'll crowd in August). Only southern slopes very dry, northern sides have snow tongues 500m lower. Enjoyed sliding on them on descent from top. Around hut scattered (wind?) several plates cca 80x80, but hut intact on inspection. Due to conditions, didn't descend via Šraj pesek or Presedljaj but extended to valley via Konj and planina Dol. At Kraljev hrib (inn) recommend excellent deer goulash.
