Today we took Kopinškova path to Ojstrica, fixed protection in good condition. Today there was quite a crowd on Ojstrica, but no views due to fog, next time.

Maybe someone knows if the path from Planina Podvežak over Mala Ojstrica to Ojstrica is dry or if you might encounter snow? Thanks for the reply.

From Podveža to Ojstrica the path is completely dry.

Yesterday to Ojstrica via Kopinškova ridge and through Škarje valley. Path dry, except a few snow patches that are no obstacle.. Nature beautiful, all sorts of colors nasmeh

Ojstrica 2350m
With Milan we tackled it today via the longer variant. In the evening we only roughly agreed on the route. Confirmed the plan, the rest adaptation to current conditions.
Parked the car a few bends before Pl. Ravne and at 7am we were at the Planina. In the dark forest found the path to Pl. Jezerca and towards it at sunrise. At 7:50 past Jezerca towards Dleskovec. Occasionally a strong NW wind blasts us. In the lee we weren't cold. At Dleskovec at 9am.
A bit tricky descent in the scree, but we find a variant through the rocky gully.
We skip Veliki vrh and at 10:40 at Chapel of Cyril & Methodius 1780m.
Up Kocbekova path towards Mala Ojstrica 2013m. No snow issues so far. Higher up the ridge, more patches of frozen snow. There are footprints of predecessors in the snow and no gear needed (ice axe/crampons).
At 13:10 on the windswept summit with wonderful views.
Windy, we descend to Korošica. The most annoying part of the path!
Next target Vodotočnik. Sun is already quite low...
Ascent to Deska and descent to the path from Podvežak. Cross and descent to Pl. Vodole. Past the hut still some light, then it goes out. To the parked car in the dark. After approx. 10h 15min back at start.
Nice tour! Snow didn't cause issues. Patches are frozen and snow doesn't sink. Windy but not too bad. Road is drivable. Some bumps that are no problem at slow speed. More tense under the rock walls (already asphalt), where there's lots of stones on the road. Never know when something will fly onto the car...

Without exploring birches of course it won't do

The ridge of Ojstrica is already quite close to us, the summit is still far

Now already at the other end, Ojstrica is far behind us

Has anyone gone from Logarska over Škarje to Ojstrica? What's the section from Škarje to Ojstrica like?

Hello!
Yesterday I was at Ojstrica from Korošica. As far as I could see towards Škarje, it's all dry. On the path to Ojstrica there are just a couple of snow patches that you can avoid and they pose no obstacles. LP

Today on Ojstrica. Tour: Na Razpotju-Klemenča jama-Škarje-Ojstrica-lower path to Škarje-Rjavčki vrh-Klemenča jama-Na Razpotju. Varied tour. Already before the tunnel and right after it I ran into two icy spots, frozen water streams. The last section to Škarje is full of hard snow patches especially before the final ascent. Also on the south side some snow patches, especially awkward before that secured part. The final ascent has south-facing snow patches that can be bypassed. Summit warm, no wind and superb views plus quite a few visitors from Podvežak and Korošica directions. On return also to Rjavčki vrh, and rakija at Klemenča jama where climbers wrapped up.

To add some more pics from the path: Podvežak-Molička planina-Ojstrica-Korošica then back to the ridge and again via Kocbekova pot back to the chapel and Podvežak. One snowfield is steeper, in the morning still not softened.
