Hello, has anyone been to Ojstrica from Logarska dolina in recent days? I'm interested in snow conditions, specifically across Škarje and on Kopinškova. Thanks for replies.

Photo of the northern part of Ojstrica from a few days ago, where the Kopinškova path crosses the snowfield. Don't recommend without winter gear.

Yesterday on the traceable - once-marked path over Grlo - wet and steep path. Towards Škarje, bigger snowfield, no problem. Descent on the marked path under Ojstrica - cross a couple of snowfields - top of Ojstrica is completely bare. Summit all mine - watched helicopter flyover over Korošica, later it dropped a couple of people at the hut fire site.
Descent on Kopinškova - crossing softened snowfield below the summit, which gets the blood pumping a bit  used full winter gear. Later cross a couple more snowfields, which pose no major problems.
Strudel and beer at Klemenča jama hits the spot as always

Thanks for the answers. Went up and down over Škarje. Surprised there was no one from Klemenča onwards. Well, those four very wide snowfields on the south side took a lot of energy and time. Maybe because it was my first time walking with crampons.

Hi,
does anyone have updated info on conditions on the Kopinškova path to Ojstrica? Planning the trip for Sunday or Monday? And back over Škarje.

Second-hand - two hikers in different FB groups say there are no issues, or rather, that the only snowfield on the path can be bypassed.

Mostly bypassed from the lower side. But below you is a 500 m wall... carefully.

On Sunday 24.6. up Kopinškova pot and down Škarje. No peculiarities except the mentioned snowfield at the top, which can be bypassed easily with a little caution.

Tone, this path pulls me again. Your pics made me crave it! Wondering if the direction (sign) to Mala Ojstrica is marked at Sedelc? A few years ago the sign was missing. Thanks. Safe in the mountains...Valerija

Mala Ojstrica not specially marked, its summit only 10m from marked path to Ojstrica. Can't miss it.

Choosing between this path and Kocbek via chapel at Molička peč. Did both a few years ago, dear to my heart. Every few years it's great to reconquer the same peaks.

Is this path over "Mala Ojstrica" easier than via Kocbek hut? Haven't been there yet, interested because planning that area Friday morning. Looks quite gentle from pics. Would start Friday morning at 3 from Kamniška Bela parking then over Presedljaj.

Path past Kocbek dom is technically easier, less airy. Make a loop, time won't matter much and you'll see the whole beauty. Best

Today I was on Ojstrica from Planina Podvežak. Up via Mala Ojstrica, back past Korošica, Planina Vodotočnik and over Deska to Planina Podvežak. Wonderful views and full of flowers. No issues on paths, but summit logbook on Ojstrica completely full, last entries mid-June. Road from end of asphalt to turnoff to Planina Podvežak in pretty bad shape. But sand piles along road show they'll fix it soon.

My friend and I were also there last Thursday, 19.7.2018, ideal day for mountains, on Ojstrica; like taja3 via Mala Ojstrica, descent to Korošica. Path beautiful, views indescribably beautiful.
Yes, can't sign at summit, box holds everything else it should. Reported condition at Planina Podvežak on return.
