How do you mean that "such things just happen too"??? How can you burn down, even unintentionally, an entire mountain hut in a foreign country and no one is responsible, or rather nobody at all?

Police doesn't determine who's guilty, but files a criminal complaint for suspicion of the criminal offense of causing general danger to the local competent District State Prosecutor's Office. Enough about that, it's clearing up outside....

Now please, turbo, also for a link to the information that a criminal complaint was filed. Even if it was, surely there has been no court decision yet and probably there won't be. Proving guilt due to human stupidity is complicated, especially if the can with flammable liquid was nicely next to the stove - as I recall.

All three were taken for treatment to UKC Ljubljana, and a criminal complaint was filed against the perpetrator, as confirmed by the Celje police station."

When the hut on Zelenica burned down, it took 7 years to get it sorted.
After the war, almost all mountain huts and homes were burned or demolished. By 1950 almost all mountain facilities were renovated, some huts newly built.
Back then in those "leaden times" there was no need to beg or collect; companies had to by "decree" allocate money from profits and give to ridiculous mountaineering associations.
But something was there - lots of shock work and voluntary labor that individual hikers contributed in their free time and Sundays. Today in our neoliberal capitalist state neighbor can't help neighbor mow the lawn for free.

I was on Zelenica about 1 month before the fire. I need to check old albums if the hut shows up somewhere. If I find it, I'll post the pic.

@oldtimer55 thanks. I searched but wasn't so successful or didn't know the old name (Planinski dom "Titovi graničarji"). The burned one is more like a mountain hut than the modern one. Personally I liked the burned one better.
Was it the same location or does it seem to me it was shown more to the right towards the Triangle?
