Hike from Planina Podvežak over Mala to (Velika) Ojstrica. Descent past the ruins of Kocbekov dom on Korošica. Road to parking below Planina Podvežak in good condition. SPP stamp from Kocbekov dom at emergency containers by the ruins of old hut.

Such facilities should be built closer to the valleys. Especially since all the peaks around there are normally accessible in one day. Once it's built, there will be chaos with cars on the Podvežak pasture. Similar to what's happening in some places in the Julians.

Come on, there really never was any chaos up there. Of course people drive on the open traffic road, but that those roads would be somehow overloaded, I really didn't have that feeling. I think that part of KSA does need a hut. Especially if we consider the route of the transverse. It enters KSA at Robanov kot and without Korošica the first overnight option is only at Kamniško sedlo. That's honestly quite far.

How many still hike the transverse that way to cross from Raduha to Korošica in one day? Very few. Most dawdle from the nearest access road.
From Robanov kot to Kamniško sedlo via Ojstrica and Planjava isn't too much for one day either.

Despite the importance of the hut, which I personally miss a lot, I think there's a huge exaggeration with the new planned implementation and it looks like some want to build a monument. I think such a price framework is absolutely exaggerated and it's obviously the main reason why the thing won't be realized for quite some time.
Regarding this, I also haven't seen any data on whether the previous hut was even properly insured against fire?

The hut was insured. According to my info for peanuts. Nowhere have I seen that they enforced any responsibility on the lady who managed to burn down the hut. If I pulled off such a feat in Austria, they'd strip my pants off, not to mention the Swiss.
Most important is that we are good people ourselves.

Despite everything maybe "pulling pants off one's ass" for the lady and kids probably wouldn't help much. Such things just happen too. Probably more emphasis on prevention itself will be needed in the future so something like this doesn't repeat.
Really not meant as provocation, but actually first there was talk of some still reasonable 400 thousand: https://www.pzs.si/novice.php?pid=12126. Seems the set direction might be a bit too ambitious. Money is collected and gathered everywhere, but the hut hasn't existed for years, won't for some more, and times in mountaineering sadly are changing towards commercialization and economic calculus.
