Ojstrica offered a good ascent and descent today. On Kocbekova to the top, there are still some snow patches holding, a mix of ice and wet snow. Behind me, one gent (71) climbed to the top, name forgot, experienced mountaineer. Together we descended back towards Molička and then up to Veliki vrh. There we snacked and then each his own way, he to Vodole, me to Podvežak. Glad I caught the time before grazing on the pasture, really don't like bulls and cows eyeing me sideways as I walk on grass they chew velik nasmeh

Today from Planina Podvežak over Mala Ojstrica to Ojstrica. Most of the path is dry, some snow patches on the way with steps made. Snow was just soft enough to make nice steps. Better to have ice axe for sure, I didn't miss it. Back same path, so don't know how the path from Kocbekov dom to summit is.

What are conditions from planina Podvežak?
How exposed is the path itself if going circular back via Korosica?

From Planina Podvežak, cross some more snow patches to the junction for Mala Ojstrica. Nothing extreme, goes without gear no problem, unless really hard freeze, one snow patch would be dangerous. Likewise from Mala Ojstrica onwards to Ojstrica nothing impassable, no gear needed. Exposed is the last part from Mala Ojstrica to summit (ca 30-45min). and part from summit towards Kocbekov dom. To me the climbing on Raduha or Peč is more "dangerous".

thanks for reply. How steep/drop is it?
Haven't been to Ojstrica yet, want to start getting my girl used to harder paths, but she has a bit of fear of heights and looking for start not too exposed paths, for example to Peč after climbing wouldn't dare take her yet.
Here from pics I saw even SVK not option, cuz no visible pegs?
Edit1: Of course not, who thought I plan to take her on snow too.
Edit2: She was already on a couple 2000ers. On path to Kamniško sedlo from Rinka, walking wasn't issue but exposure.

I find these ratings very unfair. Everyone who has issues with exposure feels them a bit differently. I have them too, but only on unsecured sections. So the path to Kamnik Saddle from Logarska doesn't seem anything special to me, on the contrary, I like it a lot, but the path to Ojstrica via Mala Ojstrica wasn't quite pleasant for me. On the other hand, the descent via the direct route to Korošica didn't pose any problems for me again, since only the short summit section is exposed, where it's best to descend facing the wall anyway nasmeh

I wrote the comparison just to give an idea. Personally I took my younger sister to Raduha via the climbing route before Ojstrica, because precisely SVK is that backup which you don't even have on the path from Okrešelj towards Kamnik Saddle.
m3pisnik, given she's already been on some 2000ers it shouldn't be a big problem, especially if you have more experience, mileage and know how to guide.

From Korošica it's not particularly exposed either, on that path scree is more of a problem. Via Mala Ojstrica it's a fairly exposed traverse under the ridge. No more snow on either one or the other.

So today from Podvežak to Molička and via Kocbek to the top. Descent via the south path past Vodotočnik over Deska back to the car. Some snow patches on the south path - easy, no snow on the other paths.
