Again on a pleasant, this time autumn excursion towards Osolnik; start at the parking lot by Ločnica, along numerous small rapids and waterfalls on a nicely maintained and fairly freshly marked path towards Govejek, continuation to the hut for a home-made »pear schnapps«, then up to the top to the church, where the wind was nicely whistling around the ears; quite a few visitors, but we didn't linger long because of the wind, views nice for such »lowlands«: from Triglav, across Karavanks with Stol to KSA with Storžič, Kočno and Grintovec, and view ahead also to nearby Šmarna gora and St. Jakob above Katarina; chestnut bag remained empty, but batteries charged for the new week; nasmeh

along the path to the top of Osolnik, cows are still grazing

and of course, the očak was nicely visible, in front Lubnik

Today Osolnik was adorned with clear sky, southern breeze and already almost summer temperatures for the upcoming merry December. In days of fog and sun, a substantial snow base accumulated under the tree canopies, as there was no snowfall here. Quite a few visitors at the Osolnik hut, as you always get excellent blueberry pie there, which I and my buddy enjoyed too. Finally return to the much cooler Ločnica valley.

Today it pulled me too, no need for anyone to nudge me. Time is a bit short, so Osolnik is just right. I start from Ločnica valley and soon my face gets hot. The sun greets me a bit below the top and cats lying in dry grass. At the top I look around all sides, remember many paths hiked. Really nice to experience the joy of mountains when the valley is all fog. nasmeh

Some salty stuff remained, as the sun didn't take it.

On the hillock a little church stands....

Birch, birch with thin hair, who combs your hair.....

The fern rejoices, for winter has not yet come.

Today was a day for photography. Views like for gods, sons of mountains. I head to Osolnik via Homa, to see this mountain beauty as soon as possible. Thanks to the one who was so dedicated to finish the path so nicely. On the descent from Homa I catch up with a lady who was walking ahead of me. She almost got scared of me because of the rustling leaves, as she thought it was game. Then we walk part of the way together chatting and I'm already at the top.

Some green can still be seen in the forest.

Can't do without Kočna and Grintovec either.

There are quite a few valleys in between, so you don't think it's really that close.

So I don't forget Skuta, I present it to you too.

The chair is familiar to you, especially this one without a backrest.

Towards Ljubljana there is fog, you cannot see to Šestica.

No winter idyll was to be expected, since Osolnik is among the lower hill brothers. But low clouds and mists charmed us; I'd give five stars to the one above. The path is still full of leaves, a bit of mud too, snow on the top, just for a snowman.

The day is dawning, we two go first to Hom.

The sun has sparkled, the mists it has dispelled.

View from the top of Hom, if only it were like that at home.

Again we are in the mist, as we have descended the path.

We were on the first islet but didn't swim at all.

Sun, islets, sea, snow and the view is very beautiful.

Today I got up early to watch Venus "riding" in front of the Sun. But clouds covered everything and hid Venus from us. Next time more luck, just that 105 years pass. velik nasmeh

This morning wasn't the nicest as far as the weather goes. But later it turned into a quite nice sunny day, as it was on Osolnik. As usual I started and finished the trail in Sora.

The sun is rising, but the trees are getting in my way.

Now is the time of St. John's wort and of course the St. John's wort flowers are blooming too.

Strawberries are ripening, already sliding down the throat.

Osolnik

There near Škofja Loka is my home,
I think everyone knows me well.
Not a thousand-meter peak I am,
but a real merry fellow.

People gladly visit me,
to recharge their batteries.
Rocks I hardly know,
along pleasant paths I lead you.

On top nice view I gift you
with church bell I ring too.
In shade of bushy trees I cool you
to the valley happy and cheerful I send.

When the sun goes up high,
I'm on the path to the mountains,
some love cliffs,
I love hills and valleys.

We all want to climb to the top,
so that the pressure of worries passes,
on top we gaze into distances,
those are true energies.

By cyclamens I wake up,
not to forget mom,
she liked to visit mountains,
nurtured us under summits.

What to write to you about Osolnik,
that it could be read with pleasure.
Of course it's a flat elevation,
to pour some "fuel" into the body.

That we found real gold,
no one will believe us.
Gold is in the flowers that bloom,
beautify the view of the church.

If you have a real view from the top,
nice view on Blegoš and Triglav.

We're going to Škofja Loka for the wedding.....

Today in a gloomy morning I headed straight into the thickets of Polhograjci, since there was no weather for a longer tour.
In Ločnica near the new house a bit before the Osovnik parking I start on the forest path first along the stream, later it climbs over some steep parts and I'm already on flat meadows a bit below the road from Sora. From there past the wooden hut steeply uphill on the winter ski slope, where I already spot the tower of St. Mohor on Osovnik. Mushrooms along the edge of the spruces quite a few but no desired boletes or morels anywhere. On top it started lightly drizzling, so I descend to Brunarica Osovnik with new keepers, where I grab a good apple strudel. Temperature up there only 5°C, clouds from the south getting thicker. Even if hell breaks loose from the sky, you're in the valley in half an hour from there.
It was a great tour with 500m for warming up. velik nasmeh

Viharnik, I prefer the sun myself,
but I believe you had a great time too,
although grayness covered the sky
and you didn't have a sharp eye for mushrooms. nasmeh

Rain stopped and time to stretch legs. From Sora via Hom to Osolnik and on to Gontarska planina and Govejek. Return via Osolnik. Path a bit muddy, otherwise pleasant, even some sun. Hut at Govejek is open.
