Problem in winter when small rocks fall on the roadway, jezen but they maintain and plow it quite well, so we'll have to wait another winter or maybe more

I started at Petrov Brdo, went along trail GM4O to Bačarsko Sedlo. On the way lots of fallen trees that couldn't hold the snow weight, and also many small snow slides that hinder smooth walking on the comfortable mulattiera. On the way to soriski peaks there was a fire smoldering at the bunker, but I didn't spot any living soul. First visited Šavnik, went down back to the little valley where there's some frozen snow. On Možic I treated myself to meditation in great views. Unforgettable! Then climbed the other lower and higher peaks on this plateau and descended from Lajnar to Kovce. Wonderful autumn with snow patches and almost summer temps, understandably lots of people.

Since the hike was planned already at the end of last week, I decided to go explore these peaks a bit during the week with a nice weather forecastvelik nasmeh.

The path took me via Litostrojska Hut to Možic, then past Planina pod Šavnikom to Šavnik—by the way, no stamp theremrk pogled, then back to the barracks and along the ridge where you can peek into Baška Grapa, to Slatnik, Lajnar and Dravhanasmeh. Of course snow everywhere, somewhere up to mid-calf, somewhere barely a trace. In places quite icy, meaning extra caution on the ascent. Views of course beautiful everywhere, but the full clouds prevented that final touch. On top of Možic and Šavnik I was accompanied by sunshine, which was soon replaced by really cold wind on Šavnikmrk pogled. Unfortunately Triglav with surrounding peaks was in clouds, view to Črna Prst pricelessvelik nasmeh. Clouds did disperse a bit later, so I could observe it—Triglav of coursenasmeh—in full glory from the saddle above the barracks. I met quite a few hikers who were probably already at the hut. With some we debated and laughed quite a bitvelik nasmehnasmeh, which is quite welcome when hiking alone. On the last part of the path I met an older gentleman ski tourereek. We exchanged a few words, then each our own way. From the top of Dravha I descended to the starting point via an unmarked path—following footprints that guided me. At the end I also went along Obhodnica Ratitovec, which has some unknown peaks.
No pics today, as my phone unfortunately failed very earlymrk pogledeek.
Definitely a nicely spent day that I will remember for a long time, as it was my first time hiking in snow on such peaks.

Hi katty, Šavnik has a stamp, probably it was hidden under snowmežikanje. Be well, ciao.

@ajda, yeah probably really hidden under snow. I rummaged around but couldn't find it anywhere. Ah well no problem, I'll go up there again maybe in spring when everything blooms. But yesterday I was really surprised that all peaks have stamps, and those on the hook sticking out.

Šavnik should also have such a stamp on the red hook, as these are Ratitovec Circuit stamps. Obviously it "went" down to the valleyeek

A day as befits this season. Views for gods. Snow quite hard, frozen, sinks in over some grass tuft. Caution is not superfluous, with semi-automatic crampons we were more stable. We barely found one shelter for a snack, otherwise hood on head almost all day. All the time we met small groups circling individual peaks, even some individuals who don't mind damaging their skis; and two friendly dogs. And a squirrel diligently collecting beech nuts and maple seeds.

Today from the cloudy valley I headed to sunny Soriska planina. I circled all 4 peaks and some unnamed ones in between. Started with Možic and onward via Slatnik to Lajnar and Dravha. Weather gorgeous, a bit of wind and little snow. The snow is frozen, so need to be careful in places, but walking is great. Also quite some people today, even a skier or two. Since ski slope (still) not operating it's paradise for sledding on Soriska planinavelik nasmeh

Today made tracks to peaks above Soriska planina. Weather warm, almost no wind, simply gorgeous day. Path without issues, just in some places quite sinking (wind-packed snow). Nice greetings

Today super sunny almost really hot considering temperatures in the valley. Started with Možic, Slatnik, Lajnar and Dravha. People rather few, wonderful views. Easy trail for young and old.

Hello!
I'm interested in the conditions on the trail over the peaks Šavnik, Možic, Slatnik, Lajnar and Dravha? Is there any ice? Are all stamps also accessible? Please for answers! Thanks!

Regards

I drive to Sorisko Planina. The ski slope was operating and there were quite a few skiers and riffraff too. I barely found a place to parkwink
Over the ski slope I climb to the saddle between Lajnar and Slatnik. Continue along the ridge to Slatnik. Snow is windblown to hard old snow, icy. With chains it went fine. Continue past the barracks and there Šavnik tempts me. The day was so nice, no need to think and I go to Šavnik too. Meet some ski tourers, no hikers. Here too snow holds well, not icy either. Right in the summit part of Šavnik it broke through in places because the snow had already hardened.
At the top beautiful views all around. Return the same way, step on Možic and over small hills back to the barracks. Descend on the direct path back to Sorisko Planina. Here it's icy only that part where you have to cross the slope under the barracks
to get to the valley below. Then the snow is fine, just mushy.
What can I say, it was a nice day. On all peaks I was on, stamps were sticking out of the snow, no problem you can collect them smile
Best regards to all.

Today from Bohinjsko sedlo to Dravh (sort of on our own), then further over Lajnar, Šavnik and Slatnik to Možic. Snow hard, ideal for walking with crampons. Weather nice, sunny, almost no wind. Quite a few hikers, not too many skiers. It was great.

Yesterday (16.02.2013) we visited the peaks above Sorisko Planina.
To Lajnar right over the ski slope. To Slatnik the path was trodden, on the ridge snow quite windblown. Up to here without extra gear (skis or snowshoes).
Towards Možic we broke trail in virgin white. Of course with snowshoes. We couldn't believe the snow was completely untouched smilesmilesmile
From the valley fogs began to rise smile, late afternoon sun getting more red rolling. Really wonderful scenes cool.
Back past the barracks and through the valley to the ski slope at Soriska Planina, where we arrived already in the dark.
We recommend (of course only with skis or snowshoes).
