If I understand correctly, everyone should go up one track and down another. Same for hikers. 
If I go somewhere, usually there are no tracks up or down. How should I then decide where I can even walk? Let someone advise me.

In recent years there are incomparably more mountain visitors than before, probably due to promotion of healthy lifestyle, various apps from Facebook, Instagram... to finally corona. People realized it's nice in nature too, not just in shopping centers.
But there are still tons of places and corners that are practically unvisited.
It bothers me too if someone holes the track, as it makes ascent harder for me. But I try not to get upset about it, since I go to the mountains for peace and stories.

Organizationally I see some possible solutions. 1. we don't go to the mountains. 2. we don't go to Portorož/to Viševnik. 3. we all go in hole-punching way, no one skis. 4. we coexist in the mountains, because character-wise there are both good and bad people. Both - both skiers and hikers.
A bit of joking, so no one takes it seriously. My path from work to mountains still waits, months... Let's enjoy nature!

You missed the topic title a bit. Maybe it would be good to have some alert admin to move such deviations to appropriate sections. I'm not saying that ranting about pikavci who crush ski touring tracks isn't eternally interesting, but when I open "Current conditions" and find philosophical constructs and andi2 "joking", I feel like a foolish creature who, naively expecting good info, wanders into slimy arguing and smart-assing.

Finally free Saturday and snowshoeing to Slatnik and Možic. And a bit further north, among idyllically snow-covered spruces.
To the barracks the base is compacted, thanks to the crowd of ski tourers, further towards Možic I was alone in the morning.
Winter has richly covered the peaks above Soriška planina with snow. Extremely beautiful scenes with snow-covered spruces.
If you don't have ski touring skis I recommend snowshoes, without them better not go for now, even though the tour is short it's also strenuous.

Nice trip and pictures of course too. I'm really surprised that the trees are still quite snow-covered, since there was quite some wind in recent days.
Next time I'll use one of your tour ideas, since you have plenty

yeah peter2, really interesting, the spruces haven't shaken off their winter coat at all yet. I poked a bit, the cover was still very soft, like some fluff.
Majdag, thanks for the praise, in these parts you can really hunt true winter motifs, as they almost turn around for you on your path
blazzm, on Sunday the paths were used by skiers, snowshoers and hikers. Although I got a bit annoyed at their holes, I'm usually a hiker myself. But when you're not, you see that these paths should be separated. We only see it when we try being one, then the other.

Today pleasant circular tour: Litostrojska koča-Možič-Šavnik-Slatnik-Lajnar-Dravh and via ski slope to parking. Weather ok, though visibility not top, temps good for hiking.
Little wind on ridge, surprisingly no breeze on Dravh. Still all clad in flowers, primroses give some bunkers great look. Hurry, worth it and easy! About 10 km, 750 elevation gain.
